5/5 best donut I've had in a long time. This place had such a long line out the door on the Saturday morning that we visited, but I understand the hype! Though maybe they could have used more staff members to keep it moving, haha. The donut I had (a regular chocolate frosted) was so light and airy, absolutely delicious. I would be delighted to start every single day with a Tatonut, but alas, I don't know when I'll be back in town. The shop has some seating inside, but it didn't really seem like the ideal place to eat since the crowd of people kept winding through the place. But on a slower day, that would probably be fine.

Had to stop in and grab a doughnut! Cool little shot with super friendly folks. Grabbed the king cake donut. Nice and soft. Delicious bread and tasty topping.

Finding a new donut spot is our thing whenever we end up in a new place. Yelp led me here and we were really excited to try them out. I think the reviews here over hyped this for us and we were left pretty disappointed.The staff wasn't really friendly this morning, and there weren't many smiles going around. It's a small little shop, and can get a little tight when people start sardine canning it inside.We opted for a half dozen. An applesauce, blueberry, s'mores, strawberry filled, vanilla, and a maple.The applesauce donut didn't really give any apple vibes at all - it had a little hint of spice. The maple didn't give me the distinct maple flavor I was looking for, it was just sweet. My kiddo didn't enjoy the vanilla donut either. The strawberry filled was quite nice however, and the jelly wasn't too sweet or too tart. Our favorite was the blueberry donut.Maybe for this area these donuts are superior, but I wasn't blown away. I love that they're not a chain though, and I love that they're so well supported by their locals! If I ever get a craving for a blueberry donut, I'd come back here for that one specifically.

This donut shop is the best donut shop in the land! I'm telling you, I got the Katrina piece I didn't get a photo of it b/c I almost ate my fingers off eating it so fast. It was rectangular shaped with soft edges. It was so unassuming. It was basically like their standard glazed donut which is soft, pillowy, light flaky glaze all over, and melt-in-your-mouth soft. They added a pinch of cinnamon to this Katrina piece and lawd have mercy! I can't tell you how fast my brain swirled back to childhood when I bit into it. I love me some Tatonut! I grew up in Ocean Springs and am glad that this hometown staple is still going strong. I also had a black coffee to of course dunk that bad boy in! Service was perfectly sweet just like the donuts! lolAnother review giving it to you straight, no chaser! Enjoy!

My wife and I have a tradition where whenever we travel somewhere new we go to the top rated donut shop in that state. You can find the article of all the states on food and wine.com. Tatonut Shop is the best donut shop in Mississippi and it did not disappoint! We ordered a red velvet, strawberry sprinkles, hot fudge Sunday, glazed chocolate, powdered raspberry filled donut and chocolate peanut donut. They were all cake donuts except the hot fudge Sunday and the raspberry filled donut, those were fried. I wish more of them were fried because the fried ones were so light and delicious! If you are considering stopping here give it a try! The line moves quick!

This cute little old school donut shop in Ocean Springs is too adorable to pass up! The donut flavors are simple and delicious and whether you're in the mood for something chocolatey or something a little simpler they've got you covered! I'm also extremely happy that they offer Blended coffee beverages because that's kind of my thing! The staff is super sweet and very accommodating! You can sit inside or take your order to go. I love the seating at the window so that you can do some people watching while you have a sweet treat and escape the heat! My only reason for the four stars instead of five is that I wish there were more flavor options. We did go a little bit later in the day so maybe we'll try for earlier and see if there's more at that time! I will definitely be going back when I'm down there in October!

Easy 5 star review. THE best donut on the Gulf Coast! The service is quick and friendly. Get there early before they sell out.

It's a small local donut shop that came highly recommended. It's unique to the area and it was nice to try a "potato donut." I think it is worth a visit when in Ocean Springs. As a donut, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to holler about.
