The Original Italian Pie - Slidell

Their wings are KILLER!! The salad was amazing and the calzone was fresh and well done! The crust on the calzone was stellar- it's the same as their bread sticks which I liked! Get their wings- support their wings! Supper amazing wings!! Mango habanero was perfect- not too hot!Staff was fantastic and I'd highly recommend this place for foodies!!!

Monday lunch with a friend. We were one of the first to arrive. Open layout, lots of outside lighting, reasonably quiet. Seated quickly.Drink orders placed and arrived. These never went dry, and our server even offered to go cups at the end of our meal. My meal of a "mini calzone" and pasta salad was very good. Pasta salad was not swimming in dressing, and the calzone was HUGE and had great flavor. The only yuck to this meal was the dipping marinara sauce. Texture was kind of gross and not sure what was wrong with the flavor, but totally off. Lunch pricing very reasonable: $11.99.Husband's to go chicken cacciatore ($14.99) was ready when we were. Ate at home. Caesar salad dressing was great, and lots of cheese. Pasta had plenty of chicken, thinly sliced (love this!), large chunks of onion and pepper. Good thing about this is if you aren't an onion fan, you can pick them out and still enjoy the meal. Plenty of pasta as well, unfortunately to the point where there wasn't enough sauce and I had to add some out of my refrigerator. Half the pasta would have been ample. Added garlic bread ($.99) was great, even reheated; served like a mini cheese pizza.Check out went quick and easy. I'd definitely return when in the area and craving Italian. Lots of other options on the menu to try.

I have eaten from the Italian pie for many, many years and it is normally a great choice. However, this past weekend? Not so much. As you can see by my picture, the lettuce was extremely wilted, almost non existent, as was the "sauce or spread" that it comes with. The .99 cent red onion add on were hardly there and soft like the lettuce. The only thing NOT soft was the hard bread it was on. I realize that type of bread is supposed to be stiff, but I shouldn't have to cut the edges off with a knife to eat it.

When we walked in, we saw they were advertising their meatball appetizer. We ordered that and some honey sriracha wings to start. The wings were a good size and flavorful. The meatballs... I'm picky about meatballs... they were perfect. The sauce they were in was full of flavor and the meatballs tasted like they were simmering in a pot of love all day. We ordered 2 small pizzas, which were spot on. I also had the soup and salad- the Mediterranean salad was as advertised and very fresh. The crab corn bisque was warm and delicious. Our server was as warm as the food! I'm already looking forward to having those meatballs in a sub and on top of spaghetti.

If I could give it a zero I would. Food was absolutely horrible. Don't waste your money

I can't speak on service, because I ordered to-go. & I don't expect much from a franchise. I'm sure I would have done better ordering Pizza. I Got the French Onion Soup listed under appetizers $5.49 - mediocre and salty. & Mediterranean Plate appetizer $9.49. There were a few romaine leaves and grape tomatoes under two scoops of dip. The scoop of hummus was worst I've ever had from anywhere in my life and super thick and dry, could barely swallow. Scoop of tomato spread wasn't any better in texture or moisture & flavor wasn't good. Topped with two slivers of super soggy peppers

I ordered a pizza, time given to pick up was 15-20 mins. The pizza was undercooked. For future reference, please consider ensuring pizzas are fully cooked to ensure the quality is what is expected. In addition, if there is a certain request to be done to the pizza, please communicate that request and make it happen.

Absolutely DELICIOUS Great service Reasonable prices I usually get the lunch combo of salad & pizza. The dried tomato dressing is outstanding.Great lunch choice

My wife and I love this place! The pizza is great and the service is friendly and professional. I only gave them a 4 star review because their pasta could use some work and they often neglect to add new items to the physical menus. For example; they currently have a cauliflower and regular thin crust option for their pizza that are not reflected on the menu. I'm also including a pic of their wings menu because neither the restaurant nor any of the patrons bothered to upload it.

We normally don't go to 'chain' restaurants, especially while travelling, but pizza sounded good, so we stopped. Our server was very sweet & our pizza was really good. The crust had just the right chewy texture, the sauce tasted like it was freshly made (no idea if it was or not, but it didn't have that heavy, cooked to death taste like some places have) & complimented the other toppings well. The restaurant was clean, the staff was welcoming & the prices were reasonable. We will definitely add The Original Italian Pie to our list of places to return to on future visits to the area.
