Place is definitely off the beaten path. There were no other guests seated tables when we arrived, just a handful seated at the bar. The near emptiness made it a bit odd that took so long for us to be waited on, but our waitress was also the bartender/only front staff I saw, so I guess that cancels out.The restaurant is on the second floor with a view of the marina, and it has big garage-like doors that can be opened in good weather, so it's got a pretty good casual waterfront ambiance. But the highlight to me is the fact that they offer grilled seafood options! As someone who can't eat fried food, finding a place that offera alternative preparations is always exciting.

There's nothing exquisite about the menu/food but it was a nice quiet and ducked off space on the water. The waitress was nice and let us know about karaoke night, live music they're trying to incorporate on Friday nights and random information since it was our first time there. I ate the shrimp quesadillas which were good and my friend had a chicken ceasar salad. I also had the Pontchartrain punch which was very good. I'd definitely come back and try something else. The smoked wings smelled good. I'll be back to try them.

We were there during the week and it was pretty quiet. It was seat yourself which was fine. One lady Kenicia was working behind the bar greeted us and was pleasant. We looked over the menu and returned to the bar to order. We ordered a Margarita and a Bloody Mary both drinks were awesome. I loved my Margarita it wasn't overbearing like some made with sweet mix. Instead it was light and had the right amount of tequila. I ordered two. My hubby had the Bloody Mary and joked with Kenicia that it was kicking his ass lol We also ordered fried pickles, boudin balls , and crab cakes. All the food was good. We would definitely recommend and go back. Kuddos to her for handling the bar and the service she did a great job

Nice place right in the lake and near downtown. Two levels with live music often at the lower level. The oysters are good but the custom sauce from the dude that shucks them is the him! Fast service and reasonably priced.

Waterfront DiningThis is located at the New Orleans RV Resort and Marina, on a canal off of Lake Pontchartrain. Easy to get to by both car and boat with parking for both. The dining room and outdoor deck are on the second floor, accessed by a long winding ramp for handicapped folks. The dining room is comfortable, but we preferred to sit outside on the covered deck overlooking the small harbor and boats. We had a server that was just as friendly as you could get. Sitting near the water called for a tropical cocktail so I tried the Pontchartrain Punch per our servers recommendation for being less sweet as compared to a Hurricane. The drink menu has plenty of drinks to wet the whistle. My wife had her usual soda and lemon. My cocktail was quite tasty and electric pink/orange. For an appetizer we had the Swamp Balls ($7.95). Three alligator and 2 boudin balls that were made with rice, seasonings and the proteins, coated and deep fried, served with a spicy ranch sauce. Both were tasty. We split an order of Crab Cakes and Hush Puppies ($16.95) for our meal. The dish had two nice sized all crabmeat cakes and several hush puppies. Both piping hot and tasty. While the menu is not super huge, it has all the right things on it. As it was a little drizzly out, we had another drink and enjoyed sitting near the water. We would go back.

Great spot: food, views & service are tops!Who expects a great restaurant/bar in an RV park? Well...now you can!We found it because we were staying at the Marina RV Park on a cross country road trip. But locals & visitors will be very happy to make this a "go to" spot on its own.

Good food and great service! That says it all. The gumbo had amazing flavor. They make it in house. I wasn't surprised. You can't can flavor like that. The turkey ham was like 6 inches tall. It was good too. Nice dinner in a pinch.

Pink Floyd amongst other greats on the sound system. Nice views of the water. The food was delicious. I had the Shrimp n Catfish Seafood Platter w/Garlic Fries and everything on the plate was delicious. A roll or slice of bread would have been perfection. My waitress was also the bartender and she was on both‼ My top-shelf margaritas were on point. I had 2.The joint was clean .Also... my garlic fries are now cold but friggin' delicious . OH, and the condiment tray has Blue Plate Mayo and a bottle of BBQ sauce, I'm .I may come back tonight for more margaritas .

Food and drinks were good, but we had to go find staff to give us menus, take our order, etc. Available staff were huddled in a lounge on the side of the bar. It wouldn't have been so bad, but staff made us feel like it was an imposition to serve us. No wonder the place was empty! We did not feel welcomed or appreciated. If you don't care about the quality of service, this place has great menu prices and drinks. If you want to feel welcomed, go elsewhere. Saltlife Tours
