The Depeaux

This restaurant is located on the train tracks in Independence. When a train passes it reminds me of being in line for a roller coaster when they have simulators to make the experience feel real. It's loud & shakes the walls.The wings are very good along with the fries! The wings don't include anything so you have to order fries separately. Plenty of sauces to choose from. The service was very good. We came late on a Saturday and they close fairly early at 9pm. I was asking for a to-go box and check at 8:50 and the waitress was super nice, telling me not to rush. We were greeted at the door by the host, who opened the door for us. Very welcoming!

Food was all right...the atmosphere is really neat, service was good. The food could be more proportioned, it's not much food for the price. Seems like every restaurant is serving less but charging more nowadays!

Great atmosphere with the train theme (in the old RR depot). On the noisy side.Hubby had the Depeaux Burger and onion rings. Burger, all 2 patties of it, was great. The bun was a bit on the dry side and fell apart as he ate it.I had chicken and waffles. Standard waffle. One medium piece of chicken. I think the chicken had their monthly special Chipotle ranch rub on it. A bit on the spicy for me but I am a whimp!We shared a bread pudding. Perfect for us as we topped off our meal. It was a good value at $3.75!We where rewarded with an actual train going by! Porch and patio seating outside. Bathroom (mens) was clean.

Good food! Fun location. I would definitely return for the wings and drinks. Hopefully word keeps getting around and this gem will withstand the COVID setback.

Been here two other times and everything was great. Today, not so much. Burnt onion rings and dry hamburger. Very hard to choke it down.

Great all the way around! You will NEVER go wrong eating here! The service is IMMACULATE! Your drink never gets low, food is always hot and is ALWAYS good! Definitely recommend it! You cannot go wrong here!

The fried shrimp were good just not what i expected. They did not have a lot of batter and would be better served on top of salad. French fries were the small slices.

Hands down the BEST wings in Tangi! 18 flavors to choose from and Wing Wednesday Special .74 cents per wing Dine in OR take out! The Mistake Sauce, Korean Pepper, Garlic Parmesan and Honey Sriracha are our faves!!

The food service and ambiance is always top notch. There homemade cheesecakes are to die for.

The Depeaux rocks! They have the best burgers and wings. I could eat there everyday! I can't wait to go back and something new. I highly recommend.
