Stopped by after a football camp at LSU. The food was really good and the service was spot on.

There is a great vibe to this place. A friend and I went for lunch. Wonderful staff. Very friendly. Had bacon burger and fries. Big portions. Loved the food and the place. There was also a lot of chatter about their bakery products being very good. Didn't try, but hey, there's always a next time.

This is a little tiny restaurant on a side street in Port Allen. Their parking lot is cramped, and they're only open for lunch during the week - sadly not open on weekends at all. And it is SO worth the effort to get there! The seafood stuffed avocado is amazing. A whole avocado full of shrimp and lobster and crab with a spicy sauce? Yes, please. We can also say good things about the shrimp poboy, the pork belly Cubano, and the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Waffle fries were well seasoned, and it's nice to sit outside when they've got swamp misters going to help beat the heat. And don't leave without a fresh baked cookie! I recommend the peanut butter. Bonus recommendation: when they've got king cakes, get the mixed berry cream cheese or the Zulu. Best on the Westside, in my opinion.

Excellent food and customs service; worth the price and drive. I am really looking forward to going back.

Ruined the Roast Beef Poboy for me that I would drive across the river for frequently. It's an obvious change in ownership and I love the upgrades to the building, but why would you change the food that made this hole-in-wall what it is. They changed the flavorful home cooked roast beef to something tasteless. The bread is not nearly as good either. I know this rant won't change anything, as they're probably making decisions they think make sense - likely out of convenience for them, but they don't know that subtle difference of what makes really good food. There are not a lot of choices in Port Allen so still are busy, but such a shame to loose a previously great sandwich. No reason for me to ever return. Oh well!

Great little gem! I had trouble deciding what to order because everything looked good. Even the baked goods! Great little atmosphere too. Can't wait to come back to try more. Sweet potato fries were bomb!

Extremely disappointing. The Mediterranean hummus appetizer was made completely different than the description. It had candied walnuts, feta, and covered in dry thyme! it was inedible. The pita tasted of pure grease and was soggy. It was inedible. The roast beef poboy au ju was tasteless and having to pay to dress the poboy with lettuce & tomato was a first in Southern LA. While the deserts were tasty, the portion size and price of some of the cakes are disproportional. Overall, do not waste your time & money for the savory food.

Stopped as we were passing through area. The service was great, people were friendly. The pot roast po-boy was the best po-boy I have had. The bread was phenomenal. The garlic sweet potato fries was a great addition and glad I got them but the po-boy could have stood by itself as a show stopper.

Food is delicious. They bake their own bread for the poboys and sandwiches, so it is always fresh. The staff is so friendly and there's an outside eating area that's perfect (when the weather permits). They also offer cakes to order and other baked goods for dessert.

Let me preface this by saying I love my girlfriend. However, after 1 bite of their king cake, I contemplated leaving her to run away with this delightful pastry. Beautiful to behold, this King cake stifles any competition. This masterpiece is perfectly moist, with a delicious cream thats bursting with flavor, yet airy and fluffy. While not per say, "traditional", I'd argue this king cake should be the template for all other New Orleans' classics. Simply put, this is a must try.
