Tavern On Citrus

Excellent service, laid back atmosphere and great food! I feel like it would be a good place to catch a game. We just stopped in with friends for lunch today. We'll be back for sure!

Met with my High School Bestie here and this is their Spot. It's close to their home and very Good company. The ambiance is Amazing and extremely Comfortable. The only Place that I've been to where you can smoke!!! The people are So Awesome and Super Friendly. The first night that I went; I ordered wings and loaded tater tots. Amazing, the tots were truly Loaded. Upon my second visit, I ordered the burger and fries; one of the Best Burgers I've had in a long time. So needless to say anytime I'm in New Orleans, you'll probably be able to Find Me Here.

Great drinks, good food, good music. The bartenders are nice. It's a nice place away from all the downtown crowds of New Orleans.

I wouldn't even rate this place one star. I Drove 30 minutes away from where I live to order food from this place, as they were the only place open serving food. When I walked in, The entire bar was full of smoke, & smelled like burnt charred as*! You could smell that the grill hadn't been cleaned in lord only knows how long. Which Should have prompted me to checked my food right then & there.By the time I got home, I opened my food. To this completely burnt burger that was hard as a rock, & tasted like straight burnt charred as*! I took one but & couldn't fathom taking another! That's how bad it was! & They had just Closed for the night. So today I called & very politely explained the situation to the lady on the phone. I simply asked if I could bring it back to return & switch out the burnt burger they gave me, for one that is actually edible. She declined to do so! & instead told me "that I could bring it in, but they wouldn't exchange it!" Like why would I bring them back a burnt burger, if they wouldn't exchange it? To waste more money on garbage food, that I wouldn't even feed my dog? ‍ So needless to say, I threw away $30! Between 5 soggy onion rings, this bunt ass burger, & a tip for (the nice bartender who was working that night!) & not to mention my total was $5 higher then the prices it claimed to be on the menu! So I will never spend another penny at this sh*t hole place! Not only do they serve horribleeeee food that's garbage, but you get garbage customer service to go along with it smh!!!!

Food is great! They revamped the menu and offer delicious food at very reasonable prices! Service is great! The staff is great and extremely helpful. With the pool tables gone, they created little nooks with comfortable sofas and chairs if you don't want to sit at the bar.

Good food, strong drinks, fun atmosphere. You should Definitely check it out. Lunch specials till 2 and happy hour till 7

The new owners have done wonders updating the Tavern. The bartenders and food preparers are very nice and do a great job with a really good selection of beer, alcohol choices, and a new food menu. I have been watching Saints games there and have been to a few Trivia nights on Tuesdays. It is a nice place to meet people and relax with a cigar and a frosty beverage.

I've been coming here for a couple of years now, and I must say the new owner has definitely made drastic improvement from the food to the clientele has improved tremendously. I love this bar it is my CHEERS

This is a bar/restaurant. The grill and deep fryer are behind the bar, so there is an odor of fried food in the place. There is a long bar with ample seating and lots of sofas and lounging areas. I ordered a draft beer and a Crown on the rocks and was surprised when she put my drink down and the glass was filled. I had $20 on the bar that she picked up and brought my change with a receipt. My tab was $17! The receipt is a math quiz. I asked what the "F$3.89" charge was for. She explained that if someone orders a liquor on the rocks, she pours a double so the glass gets filled. $3.89 for an extra shot sounds weird, and I didn't bother asking what the 67 cent discount was for. This is an unethical tourist scam, and we are in Harahan, not on Bourbon Street. I told her it was not right and she should ask first. She shrugged. Weird pricing and discounts. This is not your typical watering hole. We finished our drinks and left.
