This Vietnamese owned family store works so hard to keep this store going! Great onion rings and chicken wings! Lots of variety on drinks. Really great stop if you don't have a lot of time.

Well I am taking it upon myself to speaketh the word of Super Saver Food Store. Mostly known for the" 32" inches poboy" sign that used to adorn this business pre-Katrina, they still offer them long poboys but the sign is gone :-(This is my go to place during lent when I don't feel like spending $50 at a school fish fry, I come here, spend $19 and get a big ass poboy that will feed the family and a big order of onion rings and have a smile on my face. That cheap price and she amount of food offsets the mediocre quality of the poboy. Dont get me wrong, they dont suck, but its no Domilise or Fraziers, but still good. The bread isn't snappy or crispy, the dressed part isnt overflowing, and the poboy can be eaten while driving. So you know it isn't super overstuffed. But hey, less than $5 gets you a 12" ham and swiss dressed aint too shabby.Right next doo Sidneys bar on Barataria, if for some odd reason they say its going to take longer than 5 minutes, walk across the street and grab a cold one real quick lik

I've joked that this place has the answers to all of life's problems for over a year, but we never stopped to try out the advertised 32" poboy. All that changed today. It's not as earth shattering as I'd built it up to be, but it's a solid sandwich and it's cheap as heck. It can feed a family OR one person multiple times over a day or two. It's a little bit out of the way to get into my normal rotation, I've got better options closer to home, but if I find myself at the Wal Mart near by and craving a sandwich, this will probably creep up in use. Watch my reviews to see if I give them more stars as time goes by.

Good food for the prices. I can't complain too much. I ordered two 8 in sandwiches one 12 inch sandwich a five piece chicken wing plate and a small order of combination rice all for under $30. That was our dinner for a Monday night and my lunch to go to work with. I say if your looking for something quick and don't want fast food like Burger King or McDonald's than this is the place
