The butterfly shrimp.... It was my first time at this local restaurant and anytime I'm in the area, I'm definitely going back to get more!

Good food, pleasant setting, good prices, but nothing to write home about. The day I went they had run out of hot sausage and other menu items so I settled for a roast beef poboy. It was okay. I'll try it again next time I'm in the neighborhood and see if my opinion changes.

You can definitely tell this is the place for the locals,My boyfee and I were out here visiting his fambam from cali. So we decided to stop in for an early lunch. We got 2 orders of cheese sticks that came with marinara.Boyfee got double cheese burger with grilled onions.Order of fries, and a bottled soft drink.I got the cold cut roast beef po boy with a fountain drink. Total for everything was about $34Food was mediocre very simple stuff nothing to really get excited over. Just a mom and pop spot for a quick meal. They do offer breakfast, lunch, dinner on the menu. Calling in the order is your best bet! When we arrived we had to wait another 5min til our pick up order was ready.Diner cafeteria style decor' chairs and tables for seating, an island in the middle of the place for your soft drinks and coffee. A small hidden casino inside. One plasma. Open kitchen for you to view the food being made.Friendly service, you are greeted once you walk in Also a drive thru is available. Simple place for simple eats!

My 3 star only pertains to breakfast. I've heard a lot of good things about the lunch/dinner food, so my critique is only towards the breakfast. This is definitely your small town local only eatery. A simple building with a simple sign. The interior is more of a cafeteria setting. You get to greet and seat yourself, because the staff were too busy reading the paper and making talk with friends/Family. After seating ourselves, it became apparent after a few minutes that I may have to also go to the counter and order off the wall menu. I got that right also. I ordered a egg breakfast with sausage link "out of bacon", hash browns and toast. She got the sausage omelet. No sides. My breakfast: scrambled eggs, obviously cooked on a dirty grill. That wasn't pepper I saw. Hash browns: shredded frozen and weren't cooked all the way. Sausage tasted like it was freezer burned. Toast was good. Her omelet: for the price: way undersized. Flat and unappealing. Looked more like a thin pancake. Plates and silverware were all plastic or paper. Wasn't fun tying to cut the sausage with a plastic knife. Return visit? Not if I have to pay.

Sandwich World's poboys are great--their sandwiches are a little lack luster. I'd change the name to PoBoy World! Shrimp, sausage, and catfish poboys are all great.

Sandwich World! Like no other. The menu is endless with poboys, salads, gumbos, and daily lunch plates. The hours are kind of limited, but that's what you get in small town Louisiana. It closes after lunch on weekdays and pretty early on Saturday too. My husband says the onion rings are the best ever. LOTS of batter. The poboys are overflowing and done right. Don't miss it if you find yourself in Gramercy, La.

Despite the uninviting exterior, this place has a pretty good shrimp poboy. The shrimp were seasoned just right, with a good batter and not overcooked. The bread was not too hard, (tough poboy bread being one of my peaves). The seafood gumbo was okay, if you don't mind eating out of a plastic bowl with a plastic spoon. It had plenty of seafood, and was seasoned okay, but the broth was light. I prefer a darker roux. It comes with a decent potato salad in a styrofoam cup and a piece of bread wrapped in foil. It's that kind of place. For the amount of food you get, I'd say it was a good value. We had a, 8" shrimp poboy, fries, a seafood gumbo (with potato salad), and two sodas for $22. I hear it closes at 7pm. We ate there for dinner on a Wednesday just after 6pm.It gets four stars because I suspect it's the best thing in the area. I wouldn't drive out to Lutcher to eat here, but it's a good option if you happen to be in town.

Really bland over priced food. My "salad" was just lettuce and a single tomato slice. My baked potato came with nothing. Not even butter. I've tried most of their lunch specials and the best way to describe their food is "hospital food " or something that would be served in an old folks home.

I ordered a shrimp poboy, it was over priced for a sandwich with popcorn shrimp. I've eaten here before but this was the first time I can say it was awful.
