Sam's Greek & Lebanese

As always, the absolute BEST Greek/Lebanese food around. Did the drive thru as usual tonight for a V-day dinner with my love. Only complaint is I decided to go get the boys a pizza from Little Caesars pizza and after paying and waiting 25 min in the car I had to walk in to find out they actually gave my pizza to someone else! Came home to eat cold Sam's but it was still the best thing my belly could have asked for.

Meat mousaka is NOT like the one at Albasha if you like theirs. Sam's is dry and basically like eating big chunks of ground meat and potatoes. Albasha's difference is they use a red sauce and have fine ground meat, more eggplant and overall way better. I hated Sams version. The hummas was runny and the rice was not the best. Maybe add some peas and carrots and cook a bit longer.My husband does like his Shawarma. The people are kind.

Nom nom. I took a longer drive from my normal spot and it was so worth it. I went inside and the service was great which made me excited for the food. I kept hearing about how good their shawarma is and all the hype is real. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned and that sauce they put with it was top notch.

Sam's was once a culinary gem in our city, offering fresh, delicious Greek cuisine and exceptional service. However, over the past few months, I have witnessed a significant decline in the quality of food and service.When Sams first opened, I was impressed by the flavorful dishes, generous portions, and attentive staff. Unfortunately, my recent visits have been a far cry from those early days. The food has become lackluster and lacking the freshness and flavor that once defined Sam's. My last visit I found a black hair in my food...This was not only unsettling but also a clear indication of the kitchen's declining standards.It's clear that Sams has lost its way, and I hope they take necessary steps to address these issues reclaim their status the best Greek and Lebanese food in our area. Until then, I won't be back.

Very good food very nice atmosphere like the owner. Great to talk to would recommend his place to everybody. Good clean food.

Sam's has a food truck on Tiger Bend in Baton Rouge but I can't find the listing for it so I'll review it here!We had a great experience! We got a gyro wrap and a falafel wrap, and both were really flavorful and satisfying. The Lebanese iced tea was also really good! The guy running the truck was super friendly! We definitely plan on going back.

I used to LOVE this place... would eat there often and would have rated it a "5-star" but after the poor service I received, I just couldn't do it! On this particular day, I ordered my usual "Chicken Salad & Shrimp Kabob plate". I didn't bother to look inside my plate because it was never a disappointment so I drove home to enjoy my meal. When I opened the boxes, none of what I ordered was there. I immediately called to let them know and the owner who had always been nice showed me a different side as if I wasn't being honest and yelled at me then hung up in my face! I didn't bother to drive back and show him because it was upsetting and off putting and me being a loyal customer, I should've been treated appropriately! Very disappointing considering this was my favorite place to get Greek & Lebanese PLUS the owner was always kind and offered a free bottled drink at drive thru some times... his behavior was shocking and totally unexpected. I have not been there since because I am not spending money to be treated like crap!

Being very biased, this is the best Greek food I have had in Gonzales, LA so far. FLAVOR is popping with every bite and the owner SAM is passionate about the food and service he provides to the community! I recommend getting everything! You won't regret it!1. Chicken Shawarma combo plate with fluffy rice, Feta salad, hummus, and Tahiti sauce!2. Fried cheese: Hands down the best fried cheese I've putting in my mouth. The texture and flavor was phenomenal. I would come here just for the fried cheese.3. Moussaka: Eggplant or potato-based dish, often including ground meat. Very fulfilling and delicious!4. Sam's is the he absolutely the best Greek and Lebanese restaurant in Ascension Parish and maybe the State of Louisiana!Great food, Friendly service, consistently excellent food,Family Friendly, if you like or tolerate your family, friends, or work group,Treat them to Sam's and they will be much happier humans.
