This was my third time at Salty Joes and it was average as I remember the last two times being. The brisket was on the dry side and lacked the flavor I expect from a bbq restaurant in this process range as it's not cheap to eat here. The pulled pork was good, but not great. The beans were very good and potato salad was not the kind of potato salad I prefer as it had too much mayonnaise and maybe sour cream. Service was intensive, but the kitchen was slow. It's probably the best bbq in the area, but I'm not much of a fan.

Salty Joes always has a nice atmosphere a solid food. This time, we had Noah as our server and he was super attentive. He helped us pick an appetizer and wing flavors. We got the appetizer sampler so we could try a little bit of everything. Husband got some huge plate and I got the build your own bowl with loaded potato, pork belly, and sunny side up egg on top. Overall great service and great food!

I had dinner here last Friday night while in town as Yelp gives it high marks and I like good Q. When we arrived I immediately noticed all of the cars parked outside and it looked very busy. After walking inside, I noticed that this is actually a large restaurant inside with 3 large rooms along with covered outdoor seating. They had a 3 piece band playing for entertainment and while Salty Joe's wasn't full there was a nice sized crowd inside enjoying themselves. The interior is well decorated in a folksy country way with plenty of TV's available for viewing. They also have a full bar.I ordered the smoked chicken meal with two sides for $15 and had them add a slice of brisket for another $4 to try. The food arrived less than 15 minutes later. The chicken had a nice tasting rub and was juicy and flavorful. It was very good. My chosen side dishes were baked beans and corn pudding. The beans were served in a cup and while tasty were very soupy. I wouldn't call them baked beans. The corn pudding was basically a very moist square of corn bread with corn kernels inside. It was good too but not what I expected. This meal was enjoyable and while I might try two other sides next time the meal represented excellent value for the price. The brisket was a disappointment. Not much flavor or bark as I needed some of their sauce to improve it. I probably wouldn't order brisket next time.I will give a 4 score here because it's an attractive and popular restaurant and my chicken was very good, the sides acceptable and our table service very good. Hopefully their other meats are better than my brisket. I would consider returning.

I have given this restaurant the 3 strike rule. Please save yourself a waste of time and a disappointing service. They may have live bands and a nice atmosphere, but the food is garbage and low quality. To the point that I needed to spend most of my last trip in the bathroom. This is close to a public safety issue. But the service is slow and non responsive also. I asked for a drink menu then waited 20 minutes to order a drink before going to the bar myself to order a drink. Once that drink was gone, my waiter was surprised that I had a drink at all. This is a great location, and a great atmosphere, but if they don't train and manage the staff and enforce some food safety in the kitchen, they are doomed.

I ordered a brisket platter for $20ish and added pork belly for another $6, they gave me 2 pieces of pork belly when it is supposed to be 4 pieces! the side salad is half the size and loaded baked potato half the size! So I paid $88 dollars for half the amount of food! I lIke their food alot however I'm not going to go there anymore more! ridiculous in price and you get half the amount of food. Brisket platter used to come with 4 pieces and now only has 2! buyer beware

Really great atmosphere but the food and service weren't good. I wanted to love this place and when we walked in, we were all super excited. Our food came but we didn't have any bbq sauce, silverware or our drinks. I asked several times for more water and never got any. My daughter had the brisket and it was so dry she could barely swallow it, I had pulled pork and it was fine. The Mac and cheese was ok, corn on the cob wasn't buttered or salted. We were so bummed.
