Service is excellent! Always friendly. Drinks are well poured not watered down. Pool tables are a $1 per game. The place is always clean including the bathrooms. Good group of customers always, no trouble and very laid-back.This is my go to bar on the bayou.

The only reason I'm giving this place even one star is because it was very clean and the bartender was very nice. HOWEVER, if I could put a banner up right outside to prevent people from going in, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I'm in town from New Orleans visiting a friend's family. We chose Royal over the main Daiquiri shop because there were a bunch of cops outside the latter when we drove by. My 2 friends and I each had one, SINGLE-SHOT drink...they each had Kettle One and soda and I had a Kettle One and water. The white board behind the bad advertised the"ultra" liquor shot prices at $7.00. When we went to pay for our drinks, we found that we had been charged $12.00 for each drink. In other words, they charged $10.00 to open a can of soda water for the other 2 drinks and $5.00 to turn on the freaking faucet for mine. We will never return to this bar and have already written letters to the owner. We all live in and bartend in New Orleans. These aren't even Bourbon Street prices, number one; number two, no place should ever ever EVER CLEARLY advertise one price then charge five-freaking-dollars more PER DRINK. It is despicable management, ownership, and morality. We are all disgusted. STAY AWAY!!! (PS I just bout a vodka shot and a vodka/water at Daiquiris & Co for $3.00 TOTAL!!!)
