Roux 25

Came for dinner at the bar- Katie, the bartender is amazing. She made me a pre dinner cocktail- And they're off- a delicious lemon-blueberry martini. Then I had fried oysters- which I scarfed down. Soooo good. That was followed by the filet- melt in your mouth tender. Friendly atmosphere and wonderful food and service.

The food is wonderful, tastes and fresh. The service was enjoyable. The ambiance was great. We came with another couple. The 3 different entrées were wonderful and the deserts were superb!

Last time there the fries were over cooked like to a crisp rock with duck fat, and the other time there, the lamb was not good. Something was not right with the lamb and definitely upset the stomach. But the food is usually pretty decent. Service needs improvement like simple things such as putting a napkin under silverware. Ambiance is great.

Outstanding!!!! Hidden gem! My new favorite restaurant on the Northshore. Very well defined flavor profiles. Everything was perfectly cooked and presented. Loved it! House salad was excellent, loved the creamy garlic dressing. The mussels appetizer was superb. My husband was slurping up the broth like soup. The pork steak was surprisingly tender and moist. The onion jam on the flatiron steak was so tangy, I couldn't stop eating it. The duck fat fries were immediately devoured. So good!

The food is delicious, the service friendly and helpful with wine recommendations; and the unassuming building houses a wonderful dining experience. We had salads, appetizers, skirt steak with the cauliflower, and dessert. Salads could definitely be shared, but our entrees were right sized. Highly recommended for out-of- town guests like me, but it appears to be a popular local spot. Dinner is not served until 5, smaller menu before that time.

Had a huge group! Service was amazing! Food was amazing! Highly recommend going there! We love Josephine!

Don't be fooled by the look of the building. It's a pre-engineered metal building like a auto parts store with black tinted double doors when you walk inside, it's one big room with horizontal planks, a bar to the right and a variety of seating arrangements.My wife met me there yesterday for drinks and appetizers. Half dozen fried oysters for 10 bucks is a steal. The Arancini was great. The crawfish crêpe was good. However, the crêpe was more like a pancake than a crêpe, and it was flat, not rolled, but it was good. Wine and old fashions were great.The service was excellent and prompt This is the third time I've been to Roux 25. While the Large plates part of the menu was limited, a fillet, three burgers and lasagna, the small plates side of the menu was filled with a lot of good choices.This is a hidden gem on Highway 25 between Covington and Folsom. Don't be fool by the looks of the building.

Food was amazing!!! Whoever the chef is does a great job! The service was great tooo.

I absolutely love the hamburgers!!! I use to love the duck fried but unfortunately the last few times I have purchased them they are cold and almost like a very stale texture. Not good. Also very pricey.
