Refrigerated section this morning. They had to throw away all that food after Hurricane Ida caused power outages across the area.
Spicy Crawfish bisque, all gone.

5, Five, 4+1=5 ! Five Star on the Hot Food Bar. This afternoon for lunch I had the Crawfish Spicy bisque. Oh so delicious especially since the pollen has kicked my allergies into unhealthy gear. Definitely food for the soul and body. Every spoonful had crawfish in it, ya' heard me correctly every. And if that wasn't enough I got some Asian food as well. A dabbling of this and that. I don't want to stuff myself. I need to get back to work.

I still love Robert Fresh Market but just wanted to give some love to the bakery department in particular.I hosted a retirement party recently and I ordered the cake here. It was absolutely perfect. The guest of honor is a wedding cake fan, so that's the flavor I requested. It was delicious!!! And the decorating couldn't have been any better. It was exactly what I asked for.I order all of my doberge cakes here, and am always impressed. My hubs is a huge doberge fan - and is joined by my younger daughter and mom in his love for that tasty custard filled gateau. My oldest daughter and I are huge fans of the Very Berry cake. I'm telling you, it's life changing. There are also turtles, eclairs, stuffed cookies, cupcakes, and bunches of other tasty sweets. I'm a die hard fan.

Very disappointed with the customer service at this location. I have been coming here for 25 years. The last few years it has been terrible. No one speaks to you, says hello, says thank you, ask if they can help you. They just look at you while they take a bite of their honey bun or take your cart away if you leave it for a few minutes to shop.

This place is okay... but the produce SUCKS. I buy raspberries and they good bad literally the next day but then you buy avocados that you can't eat for weeks because they're hard as rocks. The only reason I come here is because it's close to my house and next to the gym I go to, so I mainly come for fresh ingredients to cook. They charge way too much for produce that isn't worth the price.

With 5 locations in New Orleans area (which includes sister store Lakeview Grocery), I feel that this location is the nicest and definitely the most upscale; however, I have not yet visited the new Marigny location. But I digress.Let's just address the elephant in the room by stating that yes, Robert Fresh Market is a little expensive. So leave your coupons at home and don't come here expecting to save a bunch of money. But if you like a supermarket that is exceptionally clean, has friendly employees and sells quality goods, this might be the place for you. I will be the first to admit that I do not "make" major groceries here. However, I do frequent this location almost weekly and pick up $30- $50 worth of groceries at a time. The things I like most about this Robert Fresh Market are:1. Fairly large wine & beer selection.2. Huge salad and olive bar.3. Hot plate bar featuring some of the best fried catfish around.4. Fresh boiled seafood while in season.5. A huge bakery that could be a stand alone bakery in any neighborhood; this place has delicious petit-fours and desserts.6. Nice floral shop.7. A PJ's Coffee shop inside the store.8. Lottery tickets are sold here. The store is conveniently located near the intersection of Robert E. Lee Blvd. & West End Blvd. and is easily accessible via I-10 or from Metairie via Bucktown. Many thanks to Uber-Yelper Marielle S, whose review inspired me to finally write this review.

Ran into this store to grab some water for my mother. Went to check out and a girl with a hoodies, slippers, and jogging pants was behind the counter making her and her friend a PJs drink. Now mind you the manager was looking at her, and her reply to the manager was I wanna fix my own drink. A d the manager just smiled and walked off. Very unprofessional in every way. I don't care who she was or who she was kin to you should not be behind the counter in street clothes and then she didn't wash her hands . This is one reason why I stopped eating at this location because of the nastiest on how they handle food. Safe your health and just buy stuff on the shelves. NO COOKED FOOD AND NO PJs

Robert is fantastic! I almost feel that it's similar to Whole Foods, minus the attitude, if that makes sense.I happened to be in the neighborhood and I had to pick up some supplies for a co-worker's birthday and Robert had just the stuff. I found some catering trays that were ready to go and a doberge cake that I was able to pick up, without having to order ahead. While this store is fairly small, they have a nice variety of things to choose from and the prices are reasonable.

Quick stop to get some cream of shrimp soup for my moms and I kinda like the small and quiet grocery store. Looking forward to going back when I'm in town.

If you want quality then Robert Fresh has it all. When season comes crawfish is the best.If you want something from food service deli it's great too but it'll cost you $7.50 /lb. If you got mine to spend you'll see their fried chicken is very well worth it here

I hadn't stepped inside since before Katrina. I mostly used this store as I ran to friend's house in the neighborhood. And the store is certainly different now. There are lots of takeout options and the grocery basics. The staff was nice and offered assistance. And the store was clean. I was confused by the layout but that might be a personal problem. +1 star for having Vernor's ginger ale which I haven't seen around NOLA before.
