Rivershack Tavern

Excellent burgers! I love the decor and the ambience of the place. They did a wonderful job decorating. Very comfortable. Everything all new. Just as good as the river shack on River Road.

I like to come here to belly up to the bar for what are probably my favorite bar stools ever. Not because of their comfort but because they are decorated with clothing and pants falling off etc to appear like legs etc. They offer a great beer selection, very acceptable wine list and a full bar. The bartenders while efficient usually have a bit of an attitude. The food is fairly good as far as bar food goes. So if you are a fan of dark somewhat divey bars with fun bar stools make sure to check this place out if you are in the area. They also offer covered outdoor seating but it lacks the character that the inside provides.

We tried this restaurant when the weather didn't cooperate for a day trip to the zoo. It's one of those places that doesn't look like much, but was actually above par in service and quality. We had a roast beef debris poboy and shrimp remoulade salad with fried green tomatoes. 5 out of 5 for both meals. I asked for a go-cup for my soda - no problem. Cutest bar stools. I'd go back. It seems like the type of place where everything on their menu would be good.

Great food! It's all American classics so nothing fancy, but they do tavern food really well. Huge portions and cheap prices. It's nice and on River road and has lovely outdoor seating. Was raining when we went so didn't get a picture. They have crawfish during the season as well. Parking is potentially a challenge, and the service was a bit slow. It's also a big place that was busy so this explains it. Onion rings were okay but the burger was a proper medium rare. 4/5, nothing wrong with it but I reserve 5/5 ratings for places that are worth a trip for, and while solid and good, this place is not somewhere to make a trip out of. It's the best pick if you're already in the area though.

Nice ambiance with some really good food. We had the chicken wrap and the shrimp wrap. These things were huge and stuffed with ample piles of chicken and shrimp. Margaritas were tasty and not watered down. Just passing through and I'll put this place on my list of stops when I'm back this way

Loved everything about this place. I had the special, red beans, and rice with smoked sausage. It was Monday night. It was absolutely delicious. A server was friendly andAttentive. Highly recommend

Great place to hang out with friends. The place is fun and has great bands. The service from the staff is always good. The food has never disappointed.

Our favorite dive bar on this trip. It's the epitome of 'dive'. From the wood floors, swinging wood doors, to the wood bar with 30 beers on tap. It's where locals go so you know it's got a great selection of Cajun and bar food.It's our 4the DDD stop on this trip and we even got the shirt!!And I almost forgot!! The staff is friendly and fun! Do you have DDD and FF's. What's not to love!!

Another awesome trip to Rivershack! The walls always have my eyes in a gaze checking out the decor. Service is top notch with even better food. I noticed they have live music on Friday and Saturday nights! Well make sure to return and check it out on a lively weekend.

Forced to go shopping; found out that we were nearby. Atmospheric, roadhouse vibes. Pleasant service, good drinks. Beef debris poboy was skimpy, dry, almost not dressed.(undressed?). Wife's soup judged meh. Don't eat here, but do drink here.
