First time stopping in here and it was amazing. We were in the area and had the kiddo with us. Was a little hesitant to stop in the kid, but we were all craving some good Italian. This place did not disappoint. The suggestions from staff were on point from drink to food suggestions. They were even able to accommodate with chicken and fries for the little one.

Superior neighborhood place with attentive friendly service and a formal yet informal vibe. You can certainly come here and have a grand time in an intimate yet comfortable setting.Took me awhile to get here but now I will want to stop every time I am in Metairie. The food is why. Solid basic menu but always wait on the specials, both for appetizers and for main courses. I had an almandine redfish that was other worldly in its layered flavors. The side of pasta bordelaise was outstanding. My wife had a chicken mushroom pasta dish that was so filling, and huge, that it lasted 2 meals. But the real delight was an eggplant lump crabmeat napoleon--crabmeat stuffed between layers of thinly battered and well fried eggplant sections. Not a big eggplant guy but this dish was amazing.Cocktails: oh yes--the martinis were creative and balanced . Wanted more than a couple.Only drawback--tiny parking lot but people were using the street too. Didn't seem to be a big issue.

Don't let the out of the way location stop you from coming. Everything is comfortable from the food to the ambiance, the service is just the icing on the bread pudding.

I wanted to like this place- a small, chef owned restaurant, but alas, I could not.We arrived without reservations, and while tables were unoccupied, and remained unoccupied for the entirety of our visit, we were treated as intruders and given a table in the walkway. The hostess even pointed out that we would be sitting in the way. If this is an issue, why is a table positioned in the walkway? Our server, however, was very kind and engaging. She is the reason for the extra star in this rating. Everything about our experience with her was pleasant and enjoyable.On the other hand, the food was just not good. At all. We ordered meatballs, a side of vegetables, and chicken parmigiana. None of it was good. Nor was the complementary bread.The marinara was sickly sweet. The meatballs tasted like soy sauce. The squash was downright squishy. I'm not sure how anyone eats here and enjoys it. This was not Italian food. I don't know what this was, but I'm sorry we ate here.We couldn't even make eye contact when our sweet server asked us how we liked our meal.

Food was excellent, service was very good........... Until it came time for the check.It took about as long to get the check, CC run and returned, as it took to eat our food.An aggravating end to an otherwise nice dinner....

Enjoyed entire experience. Google had wrong directions . But found it. Walked in to packed establishment with locals. Loud , but cozy ambiance. Table for two tucked in corner. Large selection in menu. Great wine list- many selections. Bread service. Specials offered. Looks like local secret. Manager was our server Lori. Amazing!! Nice temperature . Good lighting. Older patronage.

We made reservations for 8:45 for Valentine's Day and they pre-charged our card $150 to reserve the spot for the valentines special. We arrived and 20+ people were waiting outside. They told us it would be a 45 minute wait for our reservation. Another couple we spoke to had reservations at 7:30 and were just getting taken to their seats at 8:45. We've been to this restaurant before and had a great experience and the food was really good so I'm disappointed this happened. The hostess said our charge to our card would be reversed if we chose to leave and not wait, which we did.

Such a wonderful restaurant. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. The warm Italian bread was the best I've had. Prices seemed high at first but when the food came I thought it was somewhat reasonable but really they should include a side salad with the entrees.. We will definitely go back.

Went for dinner Sat night. Food was OK, service was fine. Server was wearing a Trump pin on her uniform. Politics should NEVER be part of customer service. And yes, it would have bothered me if it were a Harris or Biden pin. Nobody needs to know what side you're on as a server. That was a terrible idea for management to allow, and we won't be back.

Unbelievable! Great ambiance. Amazing staff. Chef came to the table, we chatted a bit and we asked if he could prepare a vegan dish. He graciously offered to and came up with a perfect pasta with spinach, mushroom, pine nuts and sun dried tomato. Also had a delicious cosmo, made perfectly. Truly authentic Italian in a beautiful setting. Would highly recommend!
