Let me tell you something guys eat out a lot and when you're in New Orleans, you're looking for lunch you want something absolutely delicious. It's not gonna cost you a fortune. There is no other place that can touch the red barn. Incredible pole, roast beef meatloaf everything they make absolutely fresh and delicious, including the crispy Leidenheimer bread, obviously it's my favorite place to eat in the city. It's way past the UEP Long bridge on Jeff Highway but it's definitely worth the trip. Oh by the way cash only enjoy enjoy.

There is no better bang for your buck than Red Wagon. It unfortunately closes early for late dinner people, but it is worth going out of your way to get food from here! I order large and I can make it into two additional meals. Vintage feel inside.

Great value for the money. Got a 1/2 and 1/2 roast beef and shrimp. You have got to eat the roast beef right away. Any time spent in the bag and it a hot mess when you try to eat it. This is the sliced roast beef and gravy not the shredded, so something to know. Second thing is this is a cash only business, no cards at all. They do have an ATM on site. Fries were decent but get cold quick when you are grabbing to go back to your hotel.

The food is delicious. You will not find a better value for your money, and honestly, I'd be willing to pay more for how good the food is. It's cash only, which is perfectly fine by me. They have an ATM on site in case you need it, and they take checks. The Red Wagon has been in Harahan longer than I am alive. They do one thing, and that is provide great food at a great price.

Red beans on Mondays are the best! If are visiting a restaurant that doesn't cook red beans with a Bay Leaf, leave immediately! The Red Wagon sticks to traditional New Orleans recipes and style. Never over done, but just right! I've been visiting there for over 25 years! OMG! I'm old with traditions. Lol! One thing, It's CASH only. No apps or cards. There is an ATM on the premises .

I ordered a hot sausage poboy from Red Wagon with my customary request ( fry the patty hard). I expected a Paton hot sausage patty. However I was greatly surprised when I took a bite and realized that the patties were made in house. The poboy was truly the best hot sausage that I ever had. I will be spread the word. Thank you Red Wagon.

Unequivocally one of the best bang for your buck poboys you can get basically anywhere. The shrimp poboy was pretty standard but with the portions and price, without a doubt money WELL spent. Tons of food for half the price of most overpriced poboys today, cannot recommend enough. The staff are super nice and conversational, and overall the place has that small town grocery-restaurant sort of appeal that you dont really see much anymore. Also its cash only.
