We hadn't been here in a while so decided to visit again. We ordered onions rings and a large roast beef to share. We think the place has taken a few steps back as far as quality and portion size. The large roast beef was much smaller than in the past . The taste was not as good either. ( very salty ) The biggest disappointment was the onion rings. They were extremely greasy and the coating did not stick. We both felt uneasy we got home due to the greasy onion rings. I think we will pass, on what used to be a very good place, in the future.

First time in NOLA and first place to grab food after some local friends brought us here. WOW, it set the bar high with the Shrimp Po-boy and roast beef fries. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. We also had the salad which was huge and delicious along with the roast beef po-boy and plate of shrimp. Both were super yummy! The ambiance was busy and family friendly. The service was friendly, fast, and efficient. Definitely can't wait to go back and hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Ate too quickly to take photos but got some aftershots

Incredible food and quality service. Ask for Ashley! She made sure everyone had a full drink and got exactly what they ordered. I got the seafood platter, but its enough food to feed 2 people. My daughter always orders the pizza and it never disapoints. You definitely get your money's worth. We had a fun time with family celebrating my FILs birthday. The restaurant was crowded and everybody sang along, the waitstaff are very accommodating and I'm pretty sure he won't forget this birthday. I will definitely be returning and reccomend this place to everyone who comes to NOLA. Thank you for the great time.

I come to R&O's whenever i come into town. I'm from the area and this is my go to place. The shrimp poboy was not what I'm used to. I was very disappointed. It will be hard to come back

Wow is all I can say. $30.00 for a 8 inch poboy is ridiculous. They used to be a great family restaurant now it seems to be a tourist trap.

Today was a solid 4 stars. The service was mostly great, which I was hoping for as our server's tag said she was the manager. Food came out at a decent pace, though she was surprised my kid's meals had yet to be delivered which she remedied quickly. We go to R&O every trip to New Orleans. The roast beef poboy just wasn't as good as it used to be. The meat was a bit tough and the bottom bread way to soggy when I received it. Hubs enjoyed his R&O special since it had more ham than he remembered it having. Onion rings were solid. The vegetable and beef soup is one of the best I had (and the only thing I was able to eat there when pregnant 14 years ago).

The Italian salad is full of flavor and is obviously a huge favorite, as we saw several tables that ordered this salad. It's only for those who love their salad absolutely drenched in Italian dressing. The lettuce and other veggies are literally swimming in the dressing, and most of the lettuce gets a bit soggy even when it's first brought to you. The roast beef po-boy is very good. Bread is phenomenal, but the beef is a bit too salty. Service was good with a reasonable pace and speed. Ambiance is extremely casual and family friendly, so it's a very relaxing and fun place to hang out and enjoy a meal. The prices are on the high side, but the portions are large for most items.

This place is just pure fun. It's old school and feels great. The food is well done and exceeds the price point. The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome and well attended. Overall, it's got the right kind of vibe for a fun neighborhood place. Definitely worth a stop.
