Every visit I've had this place bookmarked. How can this convenience store meal be the best of my trip?!? We ordered a 12 inch shrimp poboy for $13 and a container of red beans and rice for $7 along with 2 beers. Our total was under $30. Service was quick and the cook was friendly. We headed across the street to Louis Armstrong Park to enjoy our meal. Freaking delicious! My only mistake was forgetting to add hot sauce. The beautiful, peaceful day added to the experience.

Shrimp po boy and the fries were great. Service was good, seems like a local spot that people frequent. Will definitely be back. Has some New Orleans charm!

On the outskirts of the French Quarters you'll find this hidden gem. Sometimes in life the best sandwiches can be found in a liquor store deli. When you're ready to give all of the fine dining a rest, and want a blue collar meal, stop by Quarter Grocery & Deli. They don't disappoint w/ grown adult size sandwiches/portions. Loved the shrimp po boy. The perfect sandwich (that can easily feed 2) to soak up all of the daiquiris and cheap liquor. They also serve a pretty fierce good ole turkey sandwich. Staff here is always super friendly and the prices are incredibly reasonable.

Okay, so listen. If you go here and you, like me, are like, "Wtf is happening? How am I here in a place that feels like a Midwest gas station?" I get you. I was about to walk out (I mean, I'm on vacation!). But my partner, who is an avid Yelp reader, said, "Trust me. Yelp says it's good." And I'm so glad I listened! The salad, crawfish pie, and rice & beans with catfish...it was exactly what my hungry, Louisiana-flavor-obsessed-mouth needed. And it is SO MUCH CHEAPER than a restaurant. This was a genius plan, and I don't understand how everyone else hasn't had the same plan...

The best muffaletta sandwich in town. Hands down......I love to split the half muffaletta and sit on one of park benches to enjoy. I dream of the olive spread at this place.

This place is OK. I don't think it's 4 or 5 star place and I don't even think they're trying to be that. The shrimp po boy is ok. It only comes with mayo, lettuce & pickles so it tastes plain. I went without mayo. The people are very nice. Quick in & out spot right near the French quarter. The craw fish pie was ok too. Both items definitely need some hot sauce so be prepared for that. It is fresh and made to order, just a little boring is all.

Staying in the French Quarters and this market is near our hotel. I usually go there several times during my stay. It's definitely a one stop shop that doesn't disappoint. I always stop here because they have everything. I usually pick up water and snacks. This time I purchase a small foam cooler because my hotel did not have a refrigerator and I wanted to keep my water and my drinks chilled. They also have a deli that makes delicious sandwiches. This is usually my last stop because I usually take a sandwich for the plane. Plus, the sandwich is a huge and the price is right. My shimp po-boy was loaded and only $11.99 for a 12 inch. If it's too much they also have a sandwich for $8.09. My husband had the 12 inch Philly cheese steak without the veggies. It was $11.59 for the 12 inch and $7.99 for the sandwich. The people who work there are extremely nice and helpful. Don't sleep on this place because the po boys are amazing and the price is right

This is your average Joe neighborhood corner store, that serves hot food in the back. I find that the best food in New Orleans is often found in the back of a liquor store or at the gas station. If you know you know. So if you want fancy, this isn't for you...if you like good food and wanna eat like a local DO THIS. NOW let's get to the meat and potatoes of the matter! The service: Hey Behbay, whatcha like today? Tells you what comes on the poboy and if you want it on a bun or French bread. Simple, the the point, and fast. It's a to go place, with big easy vibes. The FOOD: I got 2 Poboys. One shrimp(shrimp not pictured) and one hot sausage. Hot sausage is something you're only gonna find in Louisiana. It's all beef, spicy, perfect amount of salty, fatty, GOOD. The bread soaks up the residual oil and inherits that flavor along with the mayo on a perfect French roll. Do yourself a favor and have this when you go here. The shrimp poboy had perfectly fried shrimp, dressed w/lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo.....just how I like it. The RED BEANS: Camellia red beans are a beloved brand of beans that are also from "The boot". These beans as my Nola friend says "cook up creamy creamy"; AND THEY DO. They get creamy and delicious. Perfectly seasoned. He gave me lots of beans and a little ball of rice, JUST HOW I LIKE IT. They didn't skimp on the beans.

Fantastic recommendation by a friend who lives in New Orleans - badly needed some good authentic New Orleans take out food and got an amazing dinner.Did the shrimp and catfish combo, one tip is that the dinner combo with fries has more seafood than a po boy for the same seafood type. Flavorful, gigantic portion that hit the spot. Also got the chef salad - customized to remove a couple vegetables and it was also gigantic portion that allowed me to have half for the next day. A big deal when you're on vacation and often not eating right.I also grabbed some fresh fruit as this is a grocery store that has a lot of very interesting local bakery items, fruit, soda, and other items. A few blocks from the quarter and away from the franticness - this is where locals come for a bite to eat or some quick groceries. Finally big props to Bac - in the food preparation / kitchen area. Exceptionally nice person and super helpful on explaining the menu items, recommendations and other things. Grateful for his help as I was doing what you're not supposed to do, technically shopping on an empty stomach. One tip: this location offers online ordering through Toast Tab so that you can pick up food when it's ready rather than wait. Also, this establishment has a tablet from which, if desired, you can order - helpful if you're comfortable with that and need to customize any items. Highly recommend!
