Port Allen Bakery

There are better bakeries around town. I will not return here. I've gone many times because they are local but the service is not the best. There listed hours are incorrect- I recently visited during "open hours" and lady rudely turned us away and told us they no longer closed at 1:00-even though their hours were on the window showing something else. The quality of the donuts have changed. Like a thick gooey texture. Just not a place to spend your money.

Love the King Cakes and the bakery items are always fresh! Great little hole in the wall bakery.

What a fun little "hole in the wall spot!" I had 3 donuts and will rate each one:Apple fritter: TWO star: more like a cake donut and not really a fritter.Old fashion glaze: FIVE star, this was perfect and wished I had bought more than one.Beignets: FOUR star, fluffy and fresh with powdered sugar sprinkled on, you have to get one of these when I. Louisiana right?Price was excellent, about $1 a donut. I'll be back to try more flavors.

I saw this place on my morning commute and was in a bit of a rush. I decided to try it out anyway (happiness first right?). The staff alone was enough for a 5 star review!! The drive through is a very short line that can have cars backed up onto the road quick. A lady came out to get my order started and once I pulled up they told me my price and I was on my way! So quick and awesome southern hospitality at its finest! This is the first time I tried a boudin Kolache & it was pretty good! The bread was so fresh. I also got a dozen donut holes and a chocolate donut. I will 100% be back! Go head Port Allen Bakery!

Delicious donuts, fast friendly service. Sausage biscuit wasn't very good. But, next time I'll try the kolaches.

This little bakery is an amazing place! It is located next to the famous River Queen Drive In on Highway 1 in Port Allen. It is very popular with the locals, businesses, and people passing through. I frequently stop by on my way to field locations since it is very close to the I-10 exit. It is located in a small building, with a drive through on the side that seems to always be in use.So, what do they offer? All sorts of donuts and related sweet breads, wonderful muffins, brownies, cookies, and in season, some of the best king-cakes I've ever eaten. They have other types of cakes as well.Not looking for sweet things for breakfast? They still have you covered. There is a selection of kolaches that include my favorite, the boudin stuffed one. There are also biscuits and biscuit sandwiches.It is easy to walk in and order, that way you can see all the baked goods in the case before making your selections. You can also check out the packages of muffins and cookies that you might want to take home or share with your coworkers. If you are in a hurry, there is the drive through, which conveniently has a menu hanging over it.Come visit this little local hidden gem in Port Allen, and you will thank yourself later! The staff will be glad to load you up with baked goodness, and hospitality to go along with it...

Stopped here for a quick breakfast to kick off along road trip. The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious. For under $12, we had a donut (with a surprise bonus one in the bag), a bear claw, two sausage and cheese biscuits, a boudin Kolache and milk. My only regret is that we didn't order more Kolaches.

Window service had a shitty attitude, felt rushed, would no recommend to anyone having a bad day. Something definitely needs to be done.

The staff there is so friendly!! They get people in an out quickly whether u come inside or thru the drive thru. The girls there are amazing!! I love this place! BEST DONUTS EVER!
