Poindexter Barbeque

The prices are pretty good and the food was good the brisket was so tender and flavorful I thought I was eating in Texas. The ribs were exceptionally good better than any barbecue place around Baton Rouge. I can't wait until they can get a dine in place. The staff which consisted of the man and his son was fantastic. The jambalaya was different than most I've ate it was super Flavorful and made with pulled pork was delicious.

I have no idea how I stumbled on this fairly new gem but it's been a great find so far. This is a mobile bbq truck that's only open Tues and Thursdays and so far I've found it in two different locations in Zachary. He is still working on finding the best location for sufficient traffic. So.. I have tried the ribs, brisket and pulled pork... all very moist and tender.. the flavor is decent..if I had one wish it would be for a pre sauced version ..as it stands the meat comes dry with sauce on the side. The jambalaya and baked beans are both delicious...if he adds potato salad, he would get 5 stars from me. The menu is a bit limited right now but I'm satisfied with each visit. Excellent and friendly customer service. Try this place if u get a chance.

Go try ZBQ in Zachary next to CCs on Old Scenic Hwy We enjoyed driving through for delicious BBQ Brisket and Ribs. The sauce was an excellent compliment to the perfectly smoked meats. The baked beans and corn pudding were great side items! The owner and his son were friendly hosts.

Wish this was a permanent restaurant in Zachary. good people, prices and awesome food

Food is amazing and the people running it are super friendly. We tried everything but the corn pudding. Hard to decide which part was our favorite! Will definitely be back.
