Baristas were personable and fun to chat with. The shop was completely pirate themed and done well! Loved the music that was playing. My coffee was delicious! I ordered one of the special iced lattes. Maybe the Scallywag, they all had pirate names on the special menu.

Shiver me timbers, interesting premise for a coffee shop. I skipped the grog and got my usual hot latte which was beautifully hand crafted, smooth and delicious. They do not require that you pay in pieces of eight so I used my card. If you ever find yourself in need of a pirate hat, skull, or treasure chest, you will find it here. Arrr, I can't say that need has ever come for me but I'll know where to go if it does. Don't forget to pop in and check out the captains quarters. There are a few sitting areas inside and several outside. It's in a small alleyway which provides quiet and no traffic. Service was excellent. Glad I was able to spend my booty at this fun place.

Simply unique. The very alley where this one-of -a-kind coffee shop quietly exists is a reminiscent of some Caribbean island nation. Cuba? Or some French territory nation (well, it's located in none other than French Quarter so there is no wonder after all!!) Whatever the image this place emits (based on your interpretation), you'll be welcomed by friendly and welcome staff who explain what "chicory" is all about. I've had a chicory infused coffee in my home state (CO). The nutty taste truly makes the whole coffee experience so next level. To have such a nice indulgence in the state where it boasts it, I certainly was taken to the next level as well.I got me the Chicory Coffee in Cafe Au Lait style. My daughter got an Iced Shaken Cappuccino with Banana, Vanilla and Dark Chocolate. Both of them were absolutely delightful. The coffee menu selection is a good size; there are some bakery items if you want a little bite to eat along with your beverage. The merchandise they sell here on the other side of it is all pirate themed. If you are a fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise then this definitely is a must stop place for sure. I noticed in the coffee sleeve that this is a veteran owned business. This also resorts with you then go here. Nice relaxing breeze that runs through the quiet alley truly relaxes your mind and soul. It made our late morning coffee time so exceptional.

Such a cute coffee shop in NOLA! With so many delicious specialty drinks to choose from, my friends and I took a little while to decide. The baristas were very friendly and helpful. I went with an iced captain snickerdoodle with oat milk. FANTASTIC!! It was super creamy with the most superb balance of sweetness without masking the rich espresso taste. The snickerdoodle flavor was spot on. I only gave 4 instead of 5 because this was a bit pricey. Typically I expect to spend $7-8 on a specialty latte but this was $10.71. Definitely worth trying at least once though because it was a wonderful drink to start the day!

What a fun place! We were looking.l for an afternoon pick me up and a place to duck in from the rain and stumbled upon this gem. It's a coffee shop and a pirate store. They have some really great shirts and other trinkets and even a fun Captains Quarters. The coffee was great. They make traditional coffee (for example a real macchiato versus an Americanized one). Got a brown sugar cinnamon flat white. It was great.

Admittedly, we were in the area to check out another shop but when we saw the signs for Pirate King and their menu on Yelp, we quickly changed plans. If you know me, you'll know that I love themed anything. And PIRATE themed?! Say less. They really nailed this theme in the decor of the cafe. From the decked out captain's quarters to the nods to Jean Lafitte everywhere, it's a real immersive experience. The space is really a cafe + gift shop. There isn't a ton of seating: a few tables by the coffee bar, a couch lounge area in the merch shop, and some tables in the alleyway outside. There is a lot to look at and buy though. They've got clothes, pirate themed gifts (playing cards, dominos, bar sets, etc), costume hats, and toys for kids. Cafe-wise, they've got an extensive menu of classic and signature coffees, teas, chocolate drinks, and lemonade. I love their fun specialty flavors and took a bit to decide which one I wanted - there's so many to try. I ended up going with The Pirate King, a king cake inspired latte. I like my coffee on the coffee flavor side so I ordered it with less sweetness. It was delicious! I've never had King Cake before (and still haven't, surprisingly, after my trip), but for those lost tourists like me, it's like a sweet, cinnamon roll type of flavor. Even with less sweetness, it was still on the sweeter side, but I think that's the point. My friends tried their other flavors and we were all satisfied with our drinks. The icing on top of the (king) cake was the great service. Their staff was really patient with us as we navigated what to order and took a bit of time to decide. They were also super welcoming and shared recommendations for us to visit while we were in the area.If you like pirates and coffee, add this to your French Quarter itinerary immediately!

Love the pirate theme and how decked out they had their shop. Very relaxing and inviting. I am always looking for a unique coffee place. I am so happy that I stumbled in this place. The ambiance was fun and different. The service was super friendly. They had a long line, but it went fast. The drink I ordered was iced chai tea latte. It is the best one I've ever had. Look forward to coming here against
