The fries had a good taste. Cole slaw was very wet, the "butterfly" shrimp were extremely small yet had a slight bit of seasoning I could taste and they tasted fresh. The oysters were very, very small but good as well. The ambiance was loud being as how an LSU game was on and babies screaming over the noise of the TV. Overall if I return for food it will be take out.

Service and food were just not good. On top of that, the food is overpriced big time. Iceberg lettuce and an over cooked piece of chicken I couldn't even chew was $17 and don't forget about having to pay a credit card surcharge fee . They definitely need to reevaluate their structure and quality

Interesting spot. I had just finished having an adventure in the area and was hungry, so I came here. The food was ok. All of the wait staff seemed a bit tired. I got "The Meal Deal" which had 3 fried fish sticks, 3 fried shrimp, fries, hush puppies, corn on the cob and coleslaw. It hit the spot, but I am not sure if it was in a good way or bad way.

We were on our way to Oak Alley Plantation and stumble upon this restaurant off the road. Intimidated by the ratings and since there's no other legit restaurants nearby other than McD, we decided to give it a try.Boiled crawfish is the best. Seasoning is simple but with good amount of spice and heat, highly recommended! Raw oysters are fine, could find better ones elsewhere. Gumbo is very good too.

Their onion blossom was the best we ever had anywhere! I got the large fried shrimp po-boy and expected to eat it all, but it was bigger than any sandwich I have seen in a long time, and had so much shrimp it was falling off! My wife had the stuffed soft shell crab, she thought it was good as well. Service was good, there was a few other tables so it seemed like it took a little longer for the food to come out, but not terribly long!

The facade is not inviting but the street sign is. The feel inside is so-so, bathroom is super clean!Their food I think was great because of the serving. Recently ordered gumbo from a famous chain cafe and this tasted better for the same price (the serving was like tripled if not quadrupled). Calamari was good, seafood platter's shrimp was great (tasty and not tiny), porkchop sandwich was unbelievably tasty (like home-cooked porkchops). One of the few restos that offer spaghetti for kids meal (they're my kids fave) plus there's a garlic bread on the side. Our server was really nice btw, middle-aged sweet lady. The person in the cashier, probably an owner based on the other reviews has a loud voice. When you pay with card, you have to pay in the cashier, and his voice asking for the tip was really loud and clear like your be shy with your answer. Anyway, the suggestion has only two options - 15% and 20%. LOL. I understand people with loud voice so that doesn't matter.I suggest this as a place to eat if you are heading west and if you want to get away from the busy NOLA. Simple place, humble food.

Cheap, low quality imported Asian seafood.Visited here today and had a side of disappointment along with my food. Three main issues here.1. Basa fish2. Asian blue crab3. No fountain drink machineThis place is located in one of the most productive fisheries in the world but yet they decide to import low quality Asian species vs source local catfish and Louisiana blue crab. I really wanted some fried catfish but the only option was Basa. No thank you! There's a difference. The crab claws were clearly a non native species as was evident by the shape. Taste wasn't fresh. They has a fishy taste characteristic of being frozen, stored for long periods of time, probably the experiencing multiple thaw and freeze cycles . Soft drinks are can only and only bottled water. I'm not paying for bottled water. I thinks it's sad that a Louisiana seafood restaurant imports Asian products. It should be clearly stated on the menu.

We dined in on December 26, 2023. Ordered an appetizer of crawfish balls & as I was eating, I found a long piece of gray hair that I had to pull from my mouth in my food. I immediately notified the waitress & she asked if i wanted to get another order, which was fine, but I declined. When I received the check, I was expecting an accommodation or an extended plea of empathy, but they acted as if it was normal to have hair in your food. This was my first time dining here & I can honestly say I won't be back, EVER.
