Pho Michael

I read the reviews and was a little worried. But I had a truly great dining experience when I visited Pho Michael. I was later than expected getting to New Orleans so I was hungry. Once I got settled in, I looked at Yelp for a recommendation to eat. I was near so many great places to dine but Pho Michael won, despite the negative reviews. I was greeted warmly when I entered and allowed to pick where I sat. The feel inside was interesting, as Michael Jackson was playing but the decor reminded me of an Asian restaurant. It was clean though. I ordered a sweet tea which they add a sweetener when you order it. I won't get this again. I ordered the spring rolls with shrimp, which many reviews called them small. These rolls were so big they could almost serve as an entree. They tasted so fresh and the peanut sauce accompanied them well. For my main dish, I ordered the pho with filet mignon. It's one of their popular dishes so I figured it would be okay. When they placed a steaming hot bowl of pho in front of me, I knew I had a made a solid decision. I added a tad of hoisin sauce along with the sprouts, basil and jalapeños. The beef broth was sooooooo good as well. Only regret I had was a smaller portion wasn't offered. I ordered the smallest size available but it was so much. I tried to eat it all but couldn't lol. Service was top notch, as my server and another gentleman checked on me but didn't hover. This is a place I would visit again no matter where in New Orleans I stay.

May be an unpopular opinion, but I wasn't impressed by this pho place. The interior of the restaurant itself was nicely decorated and very clean; service was good.The pho portion was small, and there wasn't much meat. I was hoping for more than a couple slices of filet mignon and a couple small tendon pieces for the price point ($16). The flavor of the broth was great, and the noodles had a good texture.If you're in desperate need of a pho place, I'd say this place fits the bill, but doesn't exceed any expectations.

Pricey for average food. The prices are not what's in the menu. It's 2-5 bucks more. There are so many Vietnamese restaurants in the area. This is my least favorite.

Plenty of parking outside of the restaurant. The service was good. The bun Bo hue I ordered came with a decent amount of meat which was very tender and juicy. The side herb garnishing was fresh. The only downfall, was the broth of the spicy beef soup was super sweet. It's lacking the beefy savory flavor. They gave a decent amount of noodle but they were overcooked and too lumpy. Restrooms were kept clean.

I was looking for a place to eat lunch before my road trip back home, and I was glad I found Pho Michael. The restaurant was one of the few that was open on July 4th, and I was not disappointed.The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered the pho, and it was delicious. The broth was flavorful and herby, and the meat was tender and cooked perfectly.The shrimp po'boy was also excellent. The shrimp were fresh and juicy, and the sauce was flavorful and tangy. We also tried the fresh lemon soda, and it was refreshing and delicious.The ambiance at Pho Michael was nice and clean. The restaurant was not too crowded, so we were able to get a table right away. The overall experience was excellent, and I would definitely recommend Pho Michael to anyone looking for a great place to eat lunch.

Blocks away from Lakeside Pho Michael is Pho Michael is hidden away and never ceases to impress when we are in the mood for Pho. They also have a great Boba selection if you are in the mood. I personally love their Spicy Beef Pho, but on my recent visit I found their Grilled Lemongrass Beef rice plate wonderfully delicious. I need to note that this is one of the few Vietnamese restaurants to offer kids combination Pho and plates!

Flavors were very good but value was not. Service was friendly. We found hair on-in two dishes and the waitress was aghast though the manager-owner didn't visit the table though they removed one of the items from the bill. We wouldn't cross it off our list, but no one at the table is eager to return.

My favorite Pho restaurant my go to veggie pho with veggie broth! Delicious favor beautiful atmosphere and people! Stop by you won't regret

We've ordered to-go a few times from here and the food has always been delicious and reasonably priced!! The staff has always been friendly and the atmosphere seems good
