I went here yesterday and chose a low carb baked chicken salad. I was quite bummed by the limited amount of chicken they give. I got a really small chicken leg for a relatively large salad. Also very skimpy on the dressing packets given.

The shrimp po boy was good and my wife's crab cake etouffee was good. The outside patio is a nice choice with service.

This is one of those super good and super consistent daily lunch places in downtown Lafayette. Their daily special is always a good choice or any of their specialty. Take out or eat there. The owner and his entire staff are friendly and accommodating. Good choice for good food.

Poor service and bad attitude was what we experienced when we called to check on a delivery that was a full hour late. The explanation given was that they had to deliver to another business before us. Never again.

Called in a to go order at 1:30pm, well after the lunch rush was over. Was told it would be ready in ten minutes. Walked in fifteen minutes later only to be told my order wasn't ready with no apology. Waited another five minutes before someone from the kitchen brought it out, set it on the counter and told the wait staff who the order was for. Had to ask for my food two or three minutes later as it was left sitting behind the counter. No apology again.

Every once in a while you eat that perfect something that ruins everything else for you for the rest of your life. I made the mistake of trying creme brulee for the first time in Paris. Ruined! Can't eat it in the US any more.Well, that's how I feel about the bread pudding that I had here over lunch. Oh my deliciousness. It was melt-in-your-mouth warm gooeyiness, not too sweet, not too dry, just perfection. Thank you, Pat's, every bread pudding is now a pale reflection of what it could be.

We went to the Acadien Festival while on college tour of University of Louisiana 2 weekends ago. The music was hot, the weather was hotter! We were sitting thinking when we got home to New Mexico about the best meal we had while in the area, and even though we didnt eat at the restaurant, the peach cobbler we got at Pat's Downtown stand at the festival may be the best thing I ate in the state of Louisiana! So delicious, that Ive looked for a copycat recipe to try to recreate that decadent, creamy, buttery taste! Yum!

I woke up at 2AM with food poisoning. My last meal was a Pat's cheeseburger (not good, but it did not taste spoiled) at 7 last night. I can understand getting a so-so cheeseburger in a city known for seafood, but I didn't deserve food poisoning. Also, service was poor. I asked for a cheeseburger with mustard. It had mayo. I asked for mustard. Waiter said he would bring some, but he never did. Now I understand why there were open tables on a busy Festival night; I would not eat here again on a bet. I assume the locals feel the same.

I am so in love with this restaurant! I just had the best meal here I've had in Louisiana - and possibly the cheapest. The fried catfish was perfectly crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, and fresh-tasting (no fishy taste). Yum! My corn was delicious, the bread pudding (which my friend ate) was reportedly divine, the potato salad was legendary, and the crawfish étouffée was the stuff dreams. Not to mention I had a thoroughly stuffed plate (double layered) of catfish, étouffée, corn, potato salad, a hush puppy, a dinner roll, and bread pudding for just $10. Talk about a deal! The only negative is it's only open for lunch during the week. If it were open this weekend I'd eat here every day the rest of the trip.
