This was supposed to be a quick stop for pasta. It's a fast food spot, after all. The concept is straightforward: bagged noodles, pulled from the fridge, heated in a pan, finished with (probably canned) sauce. I even appreciate the effort to make it feel somewhat made-to-order. But let's be real: this is not scratch-made pasta, and the process should be fast and simple. So why did I leave 35 minutes later with no food?Timeline:6:15 p.m. -- I placed my order at the self service device. Got a timestamped receipt. 6:35 p.m. -- Still no food. I asked for an update the requested my transaction to be voided.6:50 p.m. -- I left. Still with no food. When I requested the transaction be voided he said ok, then I asked for a receipt, the gentleman identified himself as the owner and told me he was "too busy" in the kitchen to process it right away. That alone seemed odd--why is voiding a transaction dependent on someone going to the back? There's really no way to void a transaction without waiting until the end of the night? But remember, the tablet at the front was self service, so operationally there perhaps needs to be some changes made to allow for better business practices... but It's still hard to believe the best solution the owner could come up with was to wait until he could get around to it. Not only was this poor customer service, but it's also bad business practice to ask customers to trust you on something as simple as reversing a transaction without any proof or paperwork that it would happen.I'm 100% sure a customer could NEVER walk out of POTF (or anywhere) with hot prepared food in hand and simply tell the owner, "Trust me, I'll bring the money back." The fact that the owner thought I should just trust him was beyond belief and the fact that he was the owner making that suggestion is crazier, although I'm sure he thought that would ease the apprehension. Unfortunately for him my request wasn't unreasonable, It's a basic business practice to provide documentation when transactions are voided...something the owner failed to grasp.Instead of fixing the issue, the owner proceeded to stock bags and handle more payments, further overwhelming the staff. It seemed clear that his priority was ensuring money was collected, not ensuring that orders were completed. At that point it seems like the kitchen fell further behind...Let's talk about the space: The lobby is cozy, but it's clear that it can't handle much. Further indicative of how quick the service should always be, the waiting area is not designed to accommodate a prolonged wait, there is a small bench along the wall and standing space for no more than 15 maybe 20 people....Yet, when I left, there were lots of people waiting, either for their orders, Uber deliveries, or just to place a new order and a few did receive there order even after ordering after me. But the small, cramped space was overwhelmed by the volume of customers, and it seemed clear the staff couldn't keep up as well. I'll be honest, plenty of restaurants make fresh, handmade dishes that take about the same amount of time as my order (which never materialized). At those places, you get thoughtful service and maybe even a great glass of wine. This spot, on the other hand, is smack dab in the heart of Uptown, within walking distance of the university. The target clientele may have has low expectations, and unfortunately it seems, that's exactly what this business seems to be banking on.I truly get it, bad nights happen. But when things go wrong, it's the owner's job to step up. Instead, he doubled down on disorganization and left a paying customer empty-handed. Fast food doesn't need to be fancy, but it does need to be FAST, as a small biz it does need to care about the people paying for their products. Sadly, this place missed the mark on all counts.I'm sure this comment is just a drop in the ocean, but I'll end with this: if you're considering this place, set your expectations VERY LOW and don't order if you're in a hurry, perhaps even avoid ordering on a Saturday/weekends, maybe those days are the most overwhelming for POTF

You can make better pasta at home honestly. For places like this I always stay simple with spaghetti and meatballs. They were average. My boyfriend got the Cajun pasta and wasn't wow'd at all. He ate some of my spaghetti. This is probably a one and done place for me. However, if you just want something quick and simple this may be the place for you.

Pasta On The Fly, Maple Street. I rarely order delivery Italian , with the exception of Pizza, because it often doesn't travel well. Pasta On The Fly has shown me the error of my ways, delivering hot, fresh, very tasty pasta that made for an excellent dining experience. We ordered Holy Carbonara on Spaghetti, Olive Oil and Fresh Herbs on Fusilli, and Creamy Cacio E Pepe on Bucatini. Very good choices. We also ordered a Super Caesar Salad, which was delicious. Kudos, again, to DoorDash, who got the hot food to our door in record time. Thank You, Henry! Pasta On The Fly, Maple Street -- Four Stars. I would be happy to dine with Pasta On The Fly in person or order delivery again.

Perfect little spot for grab and go or to eat at one of the outdoor tables. All the pastas we tried were really great! The truffle parpadelle and holy carb with fettuccine were my favs. Should out to the cashier for recommending the carb!

I hadn't heard much good or bad about this place so tried it on a random Wednesday. The atmosphere and service aren't great but for a nice, flavorful bowl of quality pasta, it's pretty good. I don't think it's the best pasta or value but it's quick and they have lots of options. I got the truffle and mushroom sauce with pappardelle pasta and added sausage. The sausage was unnecessary and just made the pasta more expensive. Based on quality and quick service, I would go again if I wasn't in the mood to cook some Trader Joe's pasta and sauce at home. But overall, there are better places in the area to get good pasta at the same price if you add a protein. Overall it's good quick place to soothe a pasta craving.

Great option if you want quality food quick. Their pastas are freshly made and you can customize the sauce, shape, and toppings. I really liked the Spicy Sicilian (not spicy but flavorful) and I added chicken which was really good. Service was awesome. The owner and his team are really nice. It's a small place so mostly takeout although they do have 2 small tables outside.

Was excited to try this place after seeing it on Instagram and Tik Tok. However, it was a flop. We both ordered the Carbonara with pappardelle noodles. It's a nice option that you can choose your type of noodle. However, the Carbonara was quite dry and lacking much flavor. The Caesar salad was the best thing we ordered, and even that was lacking flavor and needed much more dressing.

It was pretty good! Honestly, on par with what you get from restaurant pasta (both "lower end" and more "fancy"). I got the carbonara with a couple of subtractions and additions, and it was tasty! I definitley had to add seasonings at home but again, I've never not had to add seasonings to a pasta lol. The pappardelle noodles were the perfect size for being coated with the rich sauce. So, I wouldn't say that you should totally drop everything and try it, but if you're in the neighborhood and feel like loading up on some carbs, it's worth it!

I was having a craving for pasta, and this restaurant popped up on UberEats. I was excited to see they had carbonara and ordered it as well as the tigelle for delivery. And I must say, I'm impressed! It's so good especially the sauce and the tigelle is perfect. I highly recommend their food, and next time I want pasta I know exactly where I'm going! I did include photos, but please keep in mind I paid extra for the chicken and mushrooms in the holy carbonara. Also I did take a couple bites out of the tigelle before I snapped a picture.
