Tried again. Why can't they make decent fries here?
The seafood trifecta. My kids: it was nice knowing you, Mom
I honestly don't think this is 100% safe and legit.

Parran's Po' Boys is a great spot for po' boys in Metairie, Louisiana. Walking in, I liked the overall vibe. It just felt like how a po' boy joint should feel like. The ordering process is pretty simple. You order at the counter and they give you a number. You find a table and they bring you your food.I went with a veal po' boy with provolone and gravy and had them "dress it," though hold the tomatoes. For the side, I went with their homemade onion rings.Let me say that this was a pretty amazing po' boy and the onion rings, which are made in-house, were a great accompaniment. This really was a fantastic dinner.I would definitely recommend Parran's Po' Boys and I will give it five stars. They have a diverse menu, a great ambiance, friendly and professional service and the food is fantastic. If you are in the Metairie, Louisiana area, you owe it to yourself to check out Parran's Po' Boys.

On my way out of town last trip down to the New Orleans area I popped in to Parran's Po Boys to grab a sandwich before hitting the road. Decided to grab the J&M special for $14. This is Roast beef, ham, and swiss and I got that dressed like I always do. I know a lot of people lean hard on the seafood down south but I love a good roast beef po' boy. There were a ton of tables in this place so I would assume they get quite busy. I came on a weekday in between lunch and dinner hours so there weren't a ton of people there. Man this was a good sandwich. Maybe the 3rd best po boy I've had behind Parkway and Mabile's. Maybe...I've had some high quality others as well but this one is memorable for me. Plenty of meat and the vegetables while dressing it up were nice and fresh. The bread was crusty on the outside and soft in the center and it held up to the mayo and gravy on the beef perfectly. I'd go back and eat this tomorrow if I could. Next time in I'd love to say I'll try something different but this special may have a hold on me. Maybe I need to bring a friend to we can split one or something. Either way, Parran's Po Boys - Didn't Suck!

I don't even know exactly how to explain that I've outgrown Parran's. It's the Piccadilly or Shoneys of Po-Boys in Metairie. It's honestly all kind of bland, if a little salty. The bread is still good. I think they're struggling for help (it has been a long time to still be giving Covid excuses, new business is popping up left and right, maybe try pay your employees). It's a bit dirty, and there is an igloo ice chest to scoop ice out of by hand, which I'm pretty sure is a health board no-no considering you can't even legally store the ice scoop the employees use inside the ice machine. Even if it's legal, it's super gross and lazy.

This was one of the best PoBoys I've had! It looks like a mom and pop restaurant. I ordered take out. You can dine-in or get it to go. We ordered and waited less than 10 minutes to receive the order. It was fresh and hot when I got it. Initially I thought it was lacking flavor but if you let it cool some, the flavors do come together. The bread was a perfect texture. The shrimp were ample. I will be back to try their seafood muffuletta and the seafood trifecta.

As I was driving down Veterans Blvd for the first time since living her 27 years ago, I was dismayed with the massive amount of changes and the loss of all my old favorite eateries until I spotted Parran's and I knew I was back where I remembered. I used to eat here weekly. Today's meal did not disappoint me at all. I ordered the Fried Shrimp Po-Boy, a side of Red Beans and Rice, plus Onion Rings. This place is the perfect example of what I tell everyone across the country. Their shrimp po-boys have so many shrimp on them they fall off so you have extra to eat like popcorn. This is what a New Orleans Shrimp Po-Boy is all about. I loved my sandwich! The red beans and rice were very good and not spicy hot like so many pseudo cajun places think they are supposed to be. No! There is hot sauce in the bottle if you prefer that. Their red beans were excellent! Just the way I always want them. The onion rings were awesome too. Very light on breading and sliced thinly making them a joy to eat not heavy with too much batter. I was surprised how much dine in space they have. Two good sized dining rooms. Service was great. They brought out the red beans almost right away, then the onion rings right away with just a few minutes until the sandwich arrived. I boxed up my leftovers with the boxes provided on the bookshelf and they came out right away to clear my dirty dishes.

This was our first meal after stepping off the plane in Louisiana. What a great experience! We walked in close to closing & this place was still busy! The cashier was so helpful in helping us decide what we want! She did a good job of explaining everything and had great recommendations of what to get! We both settled on the shrimp po boys. We each got a whole sandwich & shared a large side. We could've easily gotten away with sharing a whole or each getting a half! The portions were huge & the sandwich was nicely packed with fried shrimp! Our food came out fast, hot & fresh! We would definitely come back here!

Ordered a Meatball poyboy for lunch, figuring no one could mess that up. WRONG the meatball was cold, so cold the cheese would not melt. To make it worst there was less than a tablespoon of red sauce. So it was cold and dry.The wait staff was wonderful, fast and efficient.

The roast beef poboy tastes great. I usually get the pastrami but I was craving a shrimp poboy so my hsb and I split a roast beef and a fried shrimp. Both were great. Got the onion rings too. Wish they came with more. Got the large but wasn't enough. People were nice as well when I picked up my food. Also, my food was ready really fast so only downside was the onion rings and the roast beef were a little soggy from being covered for a little too long. They have raised some prices, like everywhere but hoping they keep things reasonable.
