Offset Smoker BBQ

FYI - This restaurant has nothing to do with Migos. I was expecting bad and boujie bbq since Offset is in the name but it was so much more. These people definitely walk it like they talk it. There is no doubt that this is Baton Rouge's best BBQ and is solidly in the top 5 in the state. I have been following the opening of this restaurant for some time. It is right across the street from a restaurant I visit frequently and the anticipation has been building for a long time. Now that it is open, I have been on several Fridays in a row. Why Friday? It is open Friday-Sunday only, which means Friday is my day since I am not frequently in town on weekends.If you have ever had real deal Texas BBQ at places like Hutchin's, Terry Blacks, Lockhart, Lavaca, etc. you will understand the level of BBQ put out by Offset. It is truly BBQ excellence. Brisket is my favorite food on earth and they know what they are doing here. Trust me when I tell you, get brisket and no sides. Brisket and a side of brisket is the way to go.In addition to phenomenal brisket, I have had their jalapeno cheddar sausage, sate sausage, and pork belly burnt ends. None will replace brisket as my go-to but the jalapeno sausage is the best I have ever had. If you live anywhere near Baton Rouge, you need to get to Offset BBQ and get you some ASAP!

The best BBQ in Baton Rouge by far! I am not a huge BBQ person but this was a game changer. We got the Offset Platter because I have a family of all boys that like to eat! Everything was great! I have never left a review on turkey lol.....but the turkey here is amazing. Probably our favorite thing on the platter. Just try it! You will not regret it.

The food was amazing! They provided great service & made this Texas girl feel back at home I love the passion in the food that the owner creates , i will definitely recommend this place to my friends and familyWill be back soon !

Don't miss it cause you might! Small container style outfit that packs a punch on Government St. Everything was super flavorful, portions pretty good, cost might be a little higher for most but still worth a shot. They do offer a sampler platter for $100 bucks that looks to be real good deal but I don't eat pork so couldn't take advantage of that deal. Not a huge seating area (4 Benches or so) and didn't see if they had seating on the backside. I didn't walk around back to see if there is a bathroom for patrons but we left with dirty hands. Hopefully someone can confirm. Free refills on sodas. Overall pretty good to try if in the area.

My second visit in two weeks and I'm hooked. The best brisket this side of the Sabine River. The brisket has a peppery bark , moist, smokey deep flavor just delicious. Their turkey is also outstanding! So far I've tried their beans , potato salad, greens and coleslaw and every side item has been very good. The pecan pie is gooey, rich and decadent highly recommend. Wish them all the success and prosperity in the future.

Excellent pork belly, brisket and ribs. BBQ sauce is sweet and compliments the salty meat perfectly. Go early. They sell out quickly.

Delicious BBQ. Definitely fits missing niche of BR cuisine. Prices seem in line with the market and far less expensive than most of the Texas joints. Good work guys!

Great service and great food. Easily best bbq I had in Baton Rouge. Tried everything but the pulled pork and it didn't disappoint. Everyone was extremely friendly as well

Best BBQ in BR! The chicken and pulled pork was awesome. The brisket was outstanding! Friendly and efficient service; the owner was on site and made sure that everything ran smoothly. We will be back - ribs and sausage next time!
