We love the food but sure hate standing around listening to politics being discussed.

Went for lunch a few days ago after driving past this place for a while now. The staff was very friendly and the small restaurant was clean and tidy. I ordered the turkey club poboy, fried shrimp poboy and a side of seasoned fries. The turkey club poboy was very good! The bacon was cooked perfectly, the turkey flavorful and the bread was nice and chewy. The fried shrimp poboy was fresh, but the shrimp was over cooked and needed more flavor. The bread was very good though. The fries were not not my favorite as they were stale and undercooked. We will be back to try the crab cakes and other poboy's!

ALWAYS amazing food!!! On a KETO diet so I get the house salad. It comes with grilled onions and 2 boiled eggs. I substitute the boiled eggs for fried eggs, I add bacon and chopped pickles with 2 house salad dressings that they make themselves... YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS!!!

I made sure to try it twice before reviewing and I think I have a solid opinion formed. To start, Office Hours is a bright red, white and yellow diner on Pinhook between Verot and Kaliste. They serve daily plate lunches that change up every week, along with a regular menu of burgers, poboys, gumbo etc. First time I came I had shrimp stew. Wasn't wow'ed by it, but I think I liked it a little better than the beef tip stew on my second visit. They definitely leave seasoning up to you (and there's a variety of them on the table, but of course isn't as great when you have to add it after cooking). The The beef tips weren't as tender as I would've liked. The food had a very "homemade" style to it which you usually expect to taste AMAZING but it was rather subpar both times. Today, I had potato salad and black eyed peas with my beef stew and I will say that both of those were very GOOD which means a lot considering I don't care for either side most of the time.I really WISH I liked the food more and I really might give it a third try and just not get stew lol. I'm willing to do that because the service is very good and friendly! They definitely have customer service going for them :)

Their food is always consistent. There is a very friendly and home style atmosphere in this place. It tastes like food my mom would make. A great place to grab lunch!

Exactly the kind of place you hear about in stories...hole in the wall, mostly only locals, lots of regulars that the owner knows by name. Food is really good. I've had the Oilfield burger, fried shrimp poboy and their gumbo. Haven't worked up the courage to try the Boss. The jalepenos in the patty kinda scare me lol. Service can get slow when it's really busy, but the food and friendliness make up for it. I usually call in an order and have it delivered when I don't feel like getting out. Check it out!

I really want to do a good review for locals, but this one, I just cannot.I decided to try something new, and stumble upon this establishment.. Boy do I wish I didn't.I had got the following items:- Chicken & sausage gumbo: This gumbo came with a side of rice and potato salad.. the rice was very clumpy and dry, and old.. and the potato salad.. well they did not at all look like potato salad.. it had a very pale white color to it, and was not very eye pleasing at all.. and the gumbo itself was very unsatisfying. It actually tasted somewhat sour, and was lacking of meat- Cheeseburger w/ fries and sweet potato fries: there burger was quite dry and was not at all good, lack of flavor, and the fries and sweet potato fries was not at all good, and it was so soggy by the time it got home..I would never eat here again, just saying.

Oilfield Burger was wonderful. Hamburger steak dinner was juicy with a nice portion size.

Have been coming here for four years now and can't get enough of the food! I usually get a burger and fries which you can never go wrong with a burger from Office Hours! The plate lunches taste like my grandma used to make and I'm hooked. Besides the food, the excellent customer service is definitely what keeps me coming back! Whatever the daily plate lunch is, you can not go wrong with it!! Definitely a place to go if you want fresh, homemade, and delicious Cajun food. If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should!
