This is a delicious pie. The Large - with 8 giant slices- is so good. The cheese blend they use is so good. And the crust is chewy with to the edges nice and crispy. A really good, local, pizza shop.

I have some friends who live near this spot and they always insist on coming here lol. It has a dive bar feel when you come in. I don't know what it is but the pizza is never hot enough. They can make it fresh and somehow it's still always luke warm. The hot wings were piping hot though and pretty good

Whenever I drop through, which isn't often, I'm always mad at myself for not dropping in more often. It's always cozy, reasonable, and friendly staff.

This is my second time eating at this restaurant. The first time I ordered a couple slices of pizza. It's not great, but if you're trying to satisfy a pizza fix this will do the job. The other day I was craving cheesy bread so I popped in to order to go. When I got home and looked at it I didn't think it would be good. Surprisingly it was great! The perfect cheese to bread ratio. Will definitely be going back for it!

So New York Pizza is divided up into two sides so as you face the building they have a restaurant side on the right and a bar side on the left. You can get food on both sides but each side has different hours. I've been eating in this location since before New York Pizza even moved into this building. This spot was actually the last place I ate at right before Hurricane Katrina hit the area. I was always a fan of New York Pizza at their old location and I followed them here when they moved into this current location. In fact I have been far more than just a fan as I used to absolutely love this joint as they had one of the best deals in the city with their $5 pint and slice deal where you could get a pint of beer and slice of pizza! I also really used to enjoy the fact that this place stayed open later at night so you would often find quite a decent crowd of folks in here enjoying some pints and pizza. Unfortunately the insane inflation we have been experiencing ended up killing that amazing deal which had lasted a very long time. The end of that deal also seems to have resulted in fewer folks frequenting this place as often as they used to so they also tend to often close earlier these days. This is still one of the better spots to get some later in the evening/night food and they are also open for lunch as well. They do tasty pizza, lasagna, ravioli etc. and everything else I've had has been very good here.

New York Pizza will always be a little nostalgic for me because it was the last restaurant meal I had before the world shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic (see previous review). I can say that New York Pizza is still... fine. It's not going to blow your mind, it's not something you're going to crave, but it's open late, it's convenient, and I love the divey atmosphere. The bartenders are always nice and there's a surprisingly large beer selection. The pizza is indeed thin crust, but I can't vouch for the quality of ingredients in the crust or toppings. They do have shakers of oregano, Parmesan, and red pepper flakes, to doctor up your pizza. And they still do the slice and a pint special!

Pizza was tasty and hot to go. Toppings were plenty. Crust was thin and crunchy which I actually liked for something different. Cheese bread was overrated in my opinion. Service was fast for to go order.

We were on Magazine St, looking for a quick meal. Thought we could get a slice quick, that didn't happen. We were the only people in the place and it took a long time. We wound up ordering a pizza and salad with 2 soft drinks ($47 total). Expensive pizza, I should've have known when the menu didn't have any prices on it. We got a 12" Queens pizza (olive oil base, spinach, artichokes, feta and mushrooms). If the proces were listed on the menu, I wouldn't have ordered, $26 for a simple pizza?? The pizza was good, thin cracker like crust. We ordered the house salad, which would've been a large salad, they were nice enough to split it between 2 plates. The server suggested the Italian/House dressing, which was very good. It was the thickest dressing I've ever had, very unique. The salad was very fresh and we were told the croutons and dressing were homemade. While I thought it was a good pizza and salad, I probably wouldn't come back.

Food was just standard, nothing memorable or worth going back for. The last time I went there was a girl standing right outside the front door throwing up everywhere so that was kinda gross. I love New York style pizza but it was just lacking here. I tried it another time just cos I felt like giving them a second try but really it wasn't that great.
