My wife and I stopped by New Orleans Style Seafood Restaurant and Market in Covington for a Tuesday lunch. We had not visited in several years. Ambiance and decor exude a casual small town Louisiana vibe; televisions playing Duck Dynasty and Swamp People. Service was efficient and welcoming.Iced tea was good and I had a six-inch meatball po' boy and fries, which was good. My wife had peel and eat boiled shrimp and coleslaw. She's somewhat of a shrimp aficionado, however, and she thought the shrimp was tough to peel and tasted reboiled, and that the cocktail sauce was quite bland (like ketchup?). The coleslaw cabbage tasted less than fresh. Perhaps other menu choices would have been better, as suggested by past reviews.

If you trying to eat south Louisiana boiled crawfish this is not the place. Crawfish is cold but was promised it was cooked that day. Not the point , should not be cold. No taste and real dirty. Doesnt come with cajun dipping sauce. Beer was hott and expired. Service was horrible . Definitely need to change the name . Ive had better crawfish at a chinese buffet.

It was a no for me. I ordered a large salad, which had no lettuce, but spring mix only ... and boiled shrimp, which was peeled shrimp, soaked in crab boil and sprinkled with Old Bay. I was just wanting traditional food and neither was traditional at all.

The Pelican out front knows where it's at! Throw me some beads, Mista! Pelly was in the Mardi Gras spirit! Laissez le bon temps rouler!!! What a cute place with really good food! A couple of outdoor tables and a bunch of room inside for seating. We picked up to-go. They have a counter up front where they have some pre-boxed, boiled items. Probably some other things in there too. I was transfixed on the huge boiled shrimp. We got a seafood platter and a full size shrimp poboy. The platter was great according to my partner. He had leftovers. It came with catfish, fried oysters, and fried shrimp. He got cole slaw on the side. He really liked it but looks forward to trying other sides too since they have a large selection. $21 for the platter. The shrimp poboy comes dressed with Mayo, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. It's served with fries for $16.95. It's a big poboy. I ate half with a few fries. I like the fries okay but I'd prefer they not have the crust (for lack of a better description) that so many places do now. At least these didn't have the sweetness of some of these style of fries. The star was the poboy. Crispy outside on the bread and so many shrimp that they keep escaping while you are trying to eat your poboy! I can't wait to get this again as well as try a couple of more from their extensive selection of poboys! Really happy I found this spot in my new home!

This place is a little hard to spot. Look for the road sign beside the road. The fish, shrimp, oysters, and chicken tenders are really tasty. There are examples of platters at the cash register. Don't eat this and don't think the staff has neglected the customers. Customer service is fast and friendly. The food is outstanding.

Amazing good and service. My favorite seafood restaurant on the Northshore. You must taste their spinach and artichoke dip with the bow tie pasta, to die for! Seafood made to perfection. A true New Orleans old style with new flair restaurant. I love it.

The gumbo is really good, everything we had from there is good. They have what they call a dirty cheeseburger, which is a cheeseburger on French bread with roast beef gravy. It is excellent. The service is quick and very friendly.

I ate here on May 3, 2023. I was looking for a more casual restaurant with good seafood, especially crawfish and this was a very good choice. I had a cup of crawfish etouffee, a side salad, and 2 pounds of peel and eat crawfish for dinner for $21! Since I had never eaten crawfish, my waitress showed me how to do it. While I was there, a family came in to celebrate a birthday, so this is definitely family friendly. There was a learning curve on eating the crawfish, but I was surprised that my shirt was mostly clean after dinner The etouffee and the crawfish were delicious.

The host is very friendly as well as their waiters/waitress.I found their food was delicious as I brought my brother with me and he was surprised of the great food adventure he had there as well.
