Nesbit's Julia Street Market

If you decide to Lysol down your room after hearing about the stomach virus plaguing staff members who are forced to leave early, this store has you covered and is closer than the big box stores --- depending on where your staying. Lysol aside, it's stocked with local chips (Zapps), other snacks and of course all the other things some prefer to buy while on vacation or somehow managed to leave behind. The store closes at 10p or so and on the day I needed an item, I tried calling to confirm the address only to learn the phone wasn't working. That said, the other location did answer and confirmed the preferred store was open for business.

Awesome place. Amazing..,it's a small neighborhood market that has more than you can imagine. Fabulous selection. The staff is really cool too. A few weeks ago, I was walking there & in NOLA fashion, a storm hit for a few minutes. When I got there I was completely soaked.... dripping. Got my items, checked out, the guy behind the counter said "wait"... then opened a poncho & handed it to me to go back out. I am happy we have this place in this neighborhood... the one on Julia.

When you are just getting into town and are too tired to bother looking for a place to eat or have a drink and this market is literally next door to your hotel, you can't loose. Y dropping in to see what is available. It was perfect us to build our own charcuterie tray and get some wine for dinner and liquor for a pre-dinner cocktail. Highly recommend,

I stopped in here thinking it was just a corner store, but this truly is a neighborhood market. I was able to get everything I needed to make dinner and a great bottle of wine at a good price. Highly recommend!

Family owned business. The customer service is exceptional. The owners are always present. They sell everything that you can possibly imagine. I am a regular here because of that. Convenient location.

Very close to the Embassy Suites Convention Center in New Orleans. This market is perfect for the conventioneer who needs to pick up snacks or cold beverages for the hotel room. They have a good selection and the staff there is very helpful.

Very small local convenient store. Great for in a crunch, nothing special. Neighborhood market very limited on items, prices okay.

Great coffee and wine selection! Workers are friendly and very helpful! The store has just about anything you'd need if staying at a nearby hotel or if you're just passing through. Great place!

Rei is the best manager there and seems to be doing such a good job with the store! This market has everything you need without being overwhelming & has such unique stuff with all the gluten free, baking & pet stuff I haven't found at other stores in the area! love love love!!!

I love the store it was super cute. My friends and I are staying in the area and our hotel recommended the place. We visited a couple times yesterday and had different experiences. I choose to give the store 4 stars because the morning visit still outshined what we experienced in the evening and the store itself was clean and had a great selection. The young girl that worked in the morning was very sweet and helpful and supplied great customer service. But when we went back in the evening the girl working was not nearly as friendly. It was as if she didn't know the definition of customer service. We were not greeted upon entering in the store she really didn't acknowledge us at all. She was like a stone wall and upon checking out she never offered a thank you or a goodnight even after we offered her that kindness. Maybe she was having a bad day I don't know but It just didn't seem right. But overall I definitely recommend this store to anyone staying in the downtown area they have a great selection and it's very convenient.
