Nathan's Restaurant

We have been to Nathan's a few times and have always had a nice experience. We went for Thanksgiving dinner this year and it was outstanding. They were offering a turkey dinner plate but we all decided to have other things. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food was great. The pacing of the meal was nice. We began with cocktails, appetizers, then progressed to salads and the entree dishes. Our server did a great job of bringing things out at just the right time, kept the glasses filled, and was overall cheerful throughout.This is not an unusual circumstance. The service is always very good. The restaurant is a little small but doesn't feel crowded. The view and scenery over the water is very nice. The food is fresh and nicely prepared. It's a little pricey but it is worth it for what you get. Highly recommended. This is one of the places that I direct out-of-town visitors to.

Nathan's is an absolute gem in Slidell! Located right on the water, the setting is breathtaking and provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. Whether you're dining inside or enjoying the outdoor seating, the views are incredible and add so much to the experience.The food? Outstanding. The menu offers a great variety, from fresh seafood to classic Southern dishes, all prepared to perfection. Every bite was full of flavor and clearly made with care. The portions were generous, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious.The service was top-notch as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want to enjoy a meal with family and friends, Nathan's is the perfect spot. We actually went after our wedding. And again for the Witches Brunch and many times in between. If you're in Slidell and looking for a restaurant that combines amazing food, great service, and stunning waterfront views, Nathan's is the place to go. I can't wait to come back!

Seriously good food, service, cocktails, the vibe...everything about this restaurant is just amazing. I've had the fried oysters spinach salad twice and I'm still thinking about them and the snapper is to die for. We went with the whole family on our second visit and it was even better than our first. Everyone's dish was soo good- Steak, trout, soft shell crab, gumbo, crabcakes... all yumm. AND the desserts.. I mean how often does that happen?!? Having moved here 4 months ago, we have tried many, many places in NOLA and Slidell. So far.... It can't be beat.

Amazing!!!! I ordered the peppermint martini (made with peppermint bark) and my husband had a 1942 margarita. We shared the steak/scallop and shrimp grill with sautéed spinach. DELICIOUS! Our server was very kind and attentive, even when they were super busy

Had a lovely lunch with my grandparents today! They sat us in the side room with the windows that look out at the bayou which was beautiful, but it did get quite echo-y and loud in there as everyone was talking. Our server was incredible. She had a perfect pace with checking on us and always kept our drinks full! Everyone loved the food. The Soup du Jour of crab and shrimp bisque was rich and flavorful. I love that all of our meals came with a side salad. I got the Bayou Pork lunch which was DELICIOUS and a giant serving size. My grandparents enjoyed their chicken florentine and chicken piccata as well. We didn't have any room for dessert. I highly recommend Nathan's! Lunch was decently affordable as well, so you get the atmosphere, service, and quality without dinner prices-- and beautiful daylight coming through the windows. Thank you!I will say that the restaurant is on the second floor from the parking lot. The elevator was confusing and seemingly not working? So my grandma had to take the stairs. I probably could have run up and asked for help with the elevator, but luckily we navigated it fine.

My favorite restaurant in Slidell! Love the filet mignon or rib eye with mashed potatoes and veggie.Their Cobb salad is unreal!!! Enough for 2 people. I take it home for the next day (balsamic salad dressing on the side). My family surprised me for my birthday and we (14 people) had the patio to ourselves and had a blast!!!Susan Heartlight

Great great great!!! This is best food I Slidell!!! The waterfront dining doesn't hurt either! Great staff with wonderful vibe! The daily specials are delicious and a great value! Steak night and happy hour! A local favorite! Everything we order is delicious!

Once again Nathan's came through! We had a party of 10 and didn't lack a thing. We had a private room and wonderful service. The food was amazing. I order the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. I normally take a pic of my food but it was such a festive time I didn't have time. I will always come back. No complaints from anyone in the party.

What a PHENOMENAL DINNER!!! On Thursday, 2/13/25, my husband, daughter and I went to Nathan's Restaurant. We were celebrating a special accomplishment of our daughter. We were EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with our dining experience. We had fried eggplant and spinach dip for appetizers, Caesar salad, Trout Almandine, Ribeye Special and spaghetti and meatballs. (2) cocktails and ice tea. The meal was DELICIOUS & EXCEPTIONAL! The check was $180. Which is what we would have spent at Ruth Chris in New Orleans. The ambiance and service were amazing. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Nathan's Restaurant in Slidell LA.

Normally the food is the greatest . Service was mediocre. No bread. Food was room temperature probably sat awhile. Had to ask for a steak knife when the food was delivered. Also they should ask patrons to not have speaker phone calls with the volume too loud.
