I used to love this place. But it's changed. This is the second time we got fries that were soggy and pale in color. Like they dipped them in hot grease and served them. We had 3 orders of fries and all of look like this. Of course, I brought the food home. It's not worth the gas to go back. My burger tasted old and very chewy! It definitely wasn't grilled when I ordered it. Ordered it when I got there, took them less than 10 minutes to get my food to me. No way was that burger grilled after I ordered. Just disappointed!

Great food! It might not look like a pretty place on the outside, especially because it's connected to a gas station, but this place is a great spot for either breakfast, lunch, and dinner! They have plenty of tables on the inside, plenty for you and your coworkers to enjoy a nice, filling meal! My coworkers got burgers and their cake/pie, they loved them all. As for my grilled chicken burger, I'm trying to stay healthier and this was a very delicious lunch! The one downside here is parking I'd say. It is shared with the gas station so spots are sometimes scarce , otherwise this place is a true hidden gem(it's probably not that hidden- I'm just weird with restaurants attacked to gas stations)

Didn't get a chance to try the food. Walked in to pick up food to go, and got a bunch of funny stares. Figured out why - not a single person (employee or patron) other than myself and my husband wearing masks. Not even the people preparing the food. We chose to go elsewhere. Not worth the risk for our family right now. Hope to give it another chance in the future.

Awesome place to get a good old fashioned lunch plate. You get a good amount of food for the money. I've been here many times and have never had a bad plate. You can mix and match from many items that change daily. Great variety. The bread pudding is one of the best I've ever had. I love it. It's definitely a hidden gem. I drive past this place many times and never even gave it a thought until a good friend recommended it. Now that I know it's here, I stop every time I work in the area. It's on the corner next to a gas station. It's easy to miss if you are not looking. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed

Okey dokey...been 10 months since last ate here and my original review...went back today cause the teacher that had me come in to speak to her 9th Grade classes bought me lunch and this is the place she chose...it was free so I wasn't gonna bitch!!Got a fried Catfish filet, a scoop of Mac & Cheese and a piece of jalapeno cornbread....Like my last review, I've had better of everything but one item...Catfish - Harvest Supermarket has way better...this one was overfried...no good at allJalapeno cornbread - who the freak puts sugar in cornbread? If its somebody reading this review that does that, I feel sorry for you that you weren't raised eating proper cornbread....Mac & Cheese - HEAVENLY!! Some of the best restaurant M & C I've ever eaten...shoulda just got 4 scoops of that and this update woulda been 4 stars at least...So, lunch at Mission Street? No thanks but give me another 10 months and maybe I'll be back....

This was by far the best food I have had since heading to New Orleans. The Gumbo was so good and gizzards was on point. Highly recommend.

Don't be detured when you arrive and find this diner to share its building with a gas station. The food here is delicious. I had the chicken stew plate served with corn bread and my choice of two sides: red beans and rice and candied yams. All for about $10.The stew was spicy, built on a dark roux, and very good. The chicken was tender and full of flavor. The red beans needed hot sauce but were also very good. Candied yams were as good as candy and served as my dessert. The corn bread was a tad dry but still good. There were a few daily specials on the chalk board on the wall, so dont forget to check those out I love a good hot lunch spot. This is definitely a good one.

The way the manager's attitude is I wouldn't dare eat from there nor will my fellow co-workers! To think I was trying to get my company to add MISSION STREET CAFE as a meal contract, but I'll take that right back. I wouldn't dare want my business to do business with people like that! She locked the door three mins upon opening and kept them locked five mins after opening. Hung up in my face wouldn't serve me because I told her she was being real petty as I patiently waited 15 mins to get breakfast! Her attitude is disgusting and other customers thought the same, even the workers next door agreed she has a horrible attitude. I did nothing wrong but wait patiently! Customer service needs to be better!!!!! I ate here everyday for lunch and co-workers but that's over with I will never spend a red penny here again. I wouldn't even give it a star

I went there for lunch today. I've been there before, but only had sandwiches. I ordered from the prepared food of the day. The fried pork chop was dry, hard, and not chewable in my allotted lunch time. I explained to young lady behind the counter, and asked if I could get something else instead. The manager came up and said I couldn't, so I asked for a refund, but she said " I'm sorry, all I can offer you is an apology". I thought that was pretty poor that they don't stand behind their food. I wasted good money, because I couldn't eat it, and I had bought my coworker's food as well. Last time they get a chance to do that to me.
