The food was a 10/10. It was a little bit of a wait at 1:30am but it was worth it. I had the corn grits with a shrimp po'boy. PHENOMENAL. My friends had the shrimp and fish plate and loved it. It was giving a bodega style restaurant but it had daiquiris and book everywhere. I loved it.

This place has gone down hill. 45 minutes to get 2 breakfast sandwiches. Bad food with bad service!!! The sandwiches were horrible, croissants was so hard I couldn't bite into it. I've been coming here every time I come to New Orleans 2 to 3 times a year for the last 30 years.. I can't believe this place has gotten so bad!!

The food is just okay, nothing special about it and they are as high as a giraffe's tail and quite overpriced for the quality and flavor.

I ordered my food for delivery. When my order arrived I only received my side. My delivery driver spoke very little English and said that was all he was given. When I called the restaurant they wouldn't answer. I had to call another Melba's who then transferred me. I spoke to the employee who was curt with me. She said they cancelled my sandwich because they were out of them, and just sent the side. I explained to her I would have canceled my whole order if I would have known that. She told me they don't call or cancel orders. Terrible customer service! They also didn't send utensils to eat the side they sent. Terrible experience, they will never get my business again!

Food was okay. Large portions. Had to wait for someone to just tell us to use kiosk. Flys were everywhere.

I honestly don't know how this place is still open because at this point tourist are the only people who show up and I feel so bad for them, like who is telling yall to go there. Melba's always has a sewage smell in there, the hot food looks like it was cooked 10 hours prior and they just leave it sitting out hoping some one buys it. Don't get me started on how a sandwich that is supposed to come with the basics they charge you for.. no one should have to pay to add cheese and lettuce to a sandwich. It's sad that a $8 sandwich is " dressed" with mayo that's it. Let's also talk about the fact that I went one day to grab some toast and was told at 7am that they didn't have no breakfast.. mind you this is a 24 hour establishment and you couldn't make me a piece of TOAST at 7am.. Melba's hasn't been good since they stopped serving donuts with all the meals honestly they are just money hungry and trying to stay in business honestly. Every little thing is a charge a side of honey mustard that McDonald's would give you is a $1 at Melba's for just one.
