Service is great, and the ambiance is wonderful. But I would be pressed to get a $15 8" roast beef so SLOPPY. It was more like manda slices from a crock pot falling apart.In Louisiana when it's so sloppy you can't even eat the ham without losing 1/2 the sandwich (ham & roast beef)we always called it "open face" roast beef. Food is supposed to be convenient, not a hassle.

Overall, a super great value for the food that you receive it's kind of served as like plate breakfast and lunches. My son and I went there for breakfast. One of the most reasonably priced meals I've had in about four years.

You can not beat the customer service that you receive at Mater Chef. You get that personal attention with the friendly smiling face.The food is not too bad either. Love their lunch specials and salad bar. If you are ever going through the town of Amite, stop and grab some breakfast or lunch.It's not a 5-star restaurant but the service you will receive will make up for that.

This place is a gem in Amite La. We love their homemade biscuits and their cheeseburgers are great!! Love, love, love this little place!!

The waitress qnd driver thru crew is always nice and helpful. The Fried Chicken is awesome

This place has the best breakfast in town! Generally the driv-thru line moves pretty quick. Also the lasagna is definitely a hit on Thursday. Stop by and try it out sometime

Ok for a quick lunch! Baked chicken overcooked but it wasn't bad! Yams have a good flavor added like orange juice or something! Overall really ok! Decent prices! Good customer service! Drive thru line is always long!

Food was good, price was good and staff were friendly. It's just like I remember from when I was young.

I found this by chance and wow what a gem. Service was fantastic, the breakfast was fantastic, and the food came out incredibly fast. I highly recommend stopping in for a quick delicious bite.

I ordered a honey butter chicken biscuit, the breakfast burrito, and a hash brown. They didn't give me my hash brown even though I paid for it. The burrito was basically open not rolled up stuffed in the aluminum foil. It was a big mess of very cheap pre-cooked bacon and tasteless fake eggs. The honey butter chicken biscuit and a honey butter and would have choked anyone it was so dry. I was really disappointed and the name should be changed because there is no master chef there.
