Market on Magazine

Just wanted to share the hours of the kitchen. Open 7 days a week but on Monday and Tuesday she closes at 3pm.

This market was super close to our AirBnB so we hit it up a couple of times for sundries. They had pretty much everything we were looking for, including a decent wine selection. I thought their prices were very fair based on previous experiences at similar independent markets. Friendly service. Fun cast of characters hanging around. I only wish we had more time on our trip to order food from the back. It looked and smelled amazing.

This corner store is under new ownership, and they've put some money into making it look better and improving the refrigeration of the coolers. They serve hot food made to order in the back ... chicken wings, burgers, po boys, fried rice, etc... and it's pretty darn good and priced very nicely for this neighborhood. The new folks are friendly and it's a good place to stop for some beer, bread, last minute items. Check it out!

This has been a go-to spot when I'm either out and about on Magazine or working on Magazine Street and realized I need to pick up a bottle(s) of wine or a case of beer. It's super easy and efficient and the liquor and alcohol is the first thing you see. In a pinch? You'll be out within five minutes. More of a walk to business although there is street parking throughout.

I would literally eat this $5.99 cheeseburger with fries over any $15+ burger from any other place in town (except Frostop).

They have the flamiest shrimp poboy and a pretty nice selection on dranks and drinks!!

Really decent selection of bourbons and scotches. When in looking for Amador, but walked out with two other brands that I really like. People are fast and friendly. Great little shop to go to

Great food at great prices! You won't be disappointed with anything on their menu. Huge portions for just a few dollars.

A hidden neighborhood gem. Not gonna blow your socks away with anything fancy. Just great poboys, chicken tenders, etc. good quality stuff that whenever we don't know what to get. Market on Magazine does the trick

Friendly service. I ordered a shrimp and catfish Poboy dressed that was a completely delicious and generous portion with a whole fish fillet. Definitely worth a trip for the po boys.
