Great food, fair prices. Not Fancy but food is the star. We had: Shrimp Poorboy( bread was slightly crunchy in outside chewy on inside, lots of fresh shrimp dressed to the tee)Gumbo(rich and delicious)Boudin balls: perfectly fried ate them as accompaniment to gumbo. Perfect!Free self serve french bread if you like. All around solid place.

The girls working there bust taint make sure things are run right. It always makes a difference when the owners are there working. Ordered the surf n turf poboy and it was really incredible, not sloppy, and very impressive. It's a family environment- that's the ambiance.

Arguing with customers at the table about the prices on your menu = bad move, especially when your prices clearly state what they are, but then you overcharge and want to argue about the difference. Getting loud and telling your cashier in front of everyone that "that guy only paid for a water but he got tea" when you have no idea what I paid for on my receipt, which was a tea by the way, is UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR from you. That's the cup your staff provided at checkout. And in fact they corrected you when you said that, regarding the styrofoam cup I got. The staff member who made these accusatory, loud assumptions was a younger white male in black shirt. Came from out the kitchen. Mano's is tanking and getting worse with time. Based on poor behavior from staff and a continuation of inflammatory attitudes toward customers in the open, has resulted in my refusal to spend any more money at your restaurant. I'm done with Mano's, and will not put up with your staff's behavior any longer. There are better places than here.

We stopped here on our way out of town on vacation because I still hadn't tried a po boy. I have no idea of these are authentic, but they were amazing! I got the shrimp and fried green tomato with roumalade, and I am going to be thinking about that sandwich for a long time. We also tried the boudin balls and the red beans and rice, and those were great as well. Affordable, fun ambiance with all the football memorabilia. Would definitely be eating here once a week if I lived in the area!

I really like this restaurant. I have been so many times and brought new people here since I discovered it over the summer. They have good home cooking, hot meals, like your mom or grandma made you. Like seafood stuffed bell peppers and smothered in butter cabbage. They make one of my favorite dishes in the city, which is the redfish either grilled or blackened smothered in a crawfish, buttery, calorific sauce with two sides. I think that fish is cooked so perfectly with no fishy taste at all. The sauce is something out of Lafayette LA. During the month of November, they offer a thanksgiving poboy too!Keep in mind they are only open M-F. They are a medium sized restaurant with a decent amount of parking outside. The way you order is like a counter service, you walk in, order at the cashier counter, take a number, fix your drink, and sit down. They have go plates, straws, and lemons on the side by the drinks. The bussers are the sweetest. They talk to the customers like they're family. This tends to be an older crowd, since it is a M to F place, so some of the customers are regulars. I really am glad I found this good home cooking restaurant, it truly comforts me.

Mano's offers much than just Po'boys. The menu offers something for everyone including a daily special. I love the welcoming, family-feel of this restaurant. It has a reputation for being a favorite place for Saints players because the restaurant is located across the street from their old training camp. Saints keep coming because of tradition the food and service are great. The onion rings are outstanding. The rings are huge, lightly battered and fried to perfection. They are served with a delicious remoulade sauce. Do yourself a favor and order these. The Po'boy combo may be one of the best values in town! For $13 you get a 6 inch po'boy, side (chips, French fries or a side salad), and a fountain drink. That is a great deal. For my lunch I ordered the Manos Special po'boy. It's a generous helping of roast beef, ham, and turkey. The meat is topped with Swiss and american cheese. The sandwich is warm and dressed with lettuce and tomato. It is a classic New Orleans Po-Boy that was delicious. I ordered it as a "combo" and upgraded to a cup of gumbo. The chicken gumbo was just okay.My mom ordered the Shrimp Remoulade and Fried Green Tomatoes Po'boy. It is a unique combination, and the grilled shrimp were a good complement to the fried green tomatoes. The po'boy is dressed and the remoulade sauce is a nice condiment.

Ate breakfast here last week. Shocked to find out hash browns were the same as McDonald's. Greasy and tasteless. Really expected real hash browns at a place like this where breakfast costs more than Denny's or even Golden Corral. Today: Lunch is our usual meal to eat here. Ordered chicken Alfredo pasta. Chicken was good. Pasta was angel hair that was totally over cooked. (Thought it would be more like fettuccine which can hold up in the sauce.)And the sauce. There was so much sauce it was more like soup. I tried to pick out the pasta, but because there was so much sauce and the pasta was so mushy, it just broke as I lifted it with the fork. Ended up brining it home, but I probably will just throw it away because I think after heating, it will become pasta paste.

Update :: I was asked to come back to give them another chance , and let them remedy the problem. They must have had a talk with the female manager, and one cashier that was rude. Seems like it worked , the one cashier has changed her demeanor and no more overcharging and them arguing about the clear menu price. Still good food !
