Talk about a hidden gem...arrived here for a Saturday lunch on our way to somewhere else we had chosen for lunch. Had to make a u-turn, and seeing them right across from the u-turn, decided to give it a try. In the parking lot of a small local hotel with LOTS of pickup trucks in the parking lot (usually a good sign), we went.Seated immediately in a surprisingly spacious well lit, comfortable interior. Lots of tables already filled. Drink orders were taken and brought quickly. Took us much more than a minute to make a decision, but we had a very patient server.I opted for a cup of the Crab & Corn Bisque with a crab finger appetizer for my meal. Husband went with catfish plate with hush puppies, onion rings & baked macaroni. The bisque was unlike any other I have ever tasted; it was complex, lacking potato chunks (this is a good thing) and simply delicious! I could not put my finger on the difference, but man, it's a must try! Crab fingers were plentiful, cooked just right with lots of meat. Husband's catfish had good flavor, hush puppies were fine and onion rings were onion rings. I have to admit - I would have eaten a whole tray of that baked macaroni if someone let me.Portion sizes are perfect, lots of menu choices, quick check out, attentive service and a price tag of $60 with tax for our 2 drinks and meal. Will definitely frequent when in the area.

We had heard about how good food wS so we decided to give it shot we have been back twice the food is amazing and we going back this weekend .

My husband and I were leaving from a cruise we came in NOLA and we were looking to buy live blue crabs so we stopped for gas and next to the gas station was this place.I thought it might sell live crabs but it didn't so we decided to eat there.Well we ordered the snow crabs legs which were $11 a pound so we ordered 4lbs between us and honey they were delicious! I wish this place was in Georgia

Macbe has been a favorite of mine since I was super young! Everytime I visit my hometown I make it a priority to stop on by. Great seafood and service. The crawfish is always top tier. Highly recommend

Another great Yelp find! Oyster on the half shell, INCREDIBLE Seafood Pie, Shrimp PoBoy, Gumbo and Oyster basket all were wonderful!!!

Watch your plate, because when you look away they take your food before you can finish (without asking), they don't devein the popcorn shrimp, AND if you don't pay cash, you have to pay an additional 4% charge! Had to ask for more drink. And had to wait several minutes before we even got silverware after the food came out. (And don't expect everyone's plates to come put at the same time). Won't be back. Gave a compliment on the taste of the food with the manager, but my concern with paying for food that was taken before I could eat it and she was rude and "oh well" attitude..

Great value! I brought my family here - there might be a bit of a wait during busy lunch hour. Excellent prices for food and huge portions. Service is quick and no fuss. Oysters served in huge trays over ice (raw). Go for good food in low key environment perfect for a family or workday lunch!

Quantity!! Lots of food, inexpensive, and tastes pretty damn good. Everything was cook properly, moist seafood with a nice crisp crust. Everything tasted fresh. For the entree we split the mixed seafood boat which is fried shrimp, oysters, fish, seasoned French fries and onions served in an entire loaf of fresh baked bread coated in butter. This item is a little pricey but could easily feed 4 people with leftovers. We also had the fried green tomatoes appetizer. I thought the large amount of sauce would possibly make the tomatoes soggy but they were nice and crispy. I think the tomatoes could stand on their own without all the sauce and other toppings, but overall pretty yummy. This portion was also huge! My biggest complaint was that the place could use a sprucing up. Fresh coat of paint and a scrubbing. Besides that, overall four stars.

Amazing little cafe. Fresh homemade delicious food and great service. Well worth a pit stop for this place!! So glad we found it.

probably the best seafood for the money in all of the coast of Mississippi the food is fantastic. It's fresh it's cooked daily. It's not microwaved and hands-down. They have the best fried green tomatoes in the whole south. Everything on their menu is fabulous. You can't go wrong with any of it, but I especially love their Macbe Seafood.
