Lux Cafe

This meal was the epitome of New Orleans and possibly one of my favorite dishes in all of New Orleans. Ambiance is meh but the service is great. We had the sweetest southern lady wait on us and she was as hospitable as can be. Honestly was hesitant to try this place at first because the name "lux" usually screams over-priced bland food like Los Angeles or Dubai cafes. But I was wrong. Still think they should change their name. Nonetheless, Go here. Order the Cajun biscuits. Ask for an extra biscuit.

The food left some to be desired but maybe because we got takeout and ate here on Mardi Gras day but the staff was PHENOMENAL. Everyone was so kind, patient, and friendly. The other reviews are good so would def try it again on a less busy day especially because the staff were some of the nicest people ever!

Second time here, super busy compared to the first time I was here with a large group (Nov 2024). There were probably 30 people seated already and 15 people ahead of me in line to order. I stayed because I remembered the food being good previously (& I had time). Once I ordered, I was able to get a seat at the bar right away but I know there were some groups waiting for tables. Food took about 15 mins to come out but was very hot and clearly just made. The chicken biscuit was okay, not the best I ever had but still good. The potatoes and iced chai latte were delicious! Would go back again if you have the time to wait!

Entered Lux right before closing, and unlike another restaurant we visited, they turned the grills back in so we could eat!!! And the food was delicious. I had the Potato Bowl and my kid had the stuffed banana French toast. And they didn't rush us out to eat. The service was topNotch like the food. Lux Cafe for the win!!

Great food, great coffee and EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! Came in for coffee and breakfast and was immediately impressed as we were greeted by the nicest lady and staff!!

Went here for breakfast in NOLA! Got the chai latte, but they got my order wrong and gave me a matcha latte- which to be fair was good but they also got my friends order wrong as well. I got the crawfish omlette which I felt was overall a little bit bland- there are definitely better brunch spots around.

Amazing little place I wish I would have found it a couple weeks ago its very clean inside and the food is really good. Staff is friendly as well

The food is fresh and amazing. The OK is fresh squeezed. Try this place for authentic Louisiana accents and southern hospitality. Walk straight to the counter, review the menu, place your order then take a number to your table and they will bring the food to you. The Lucy Burger is delicious. Toasted Broiche bun and a thick juicy patty. The fries are great as well. Get it! The waffle was cold but still tasty. If you want it hot ask for whip cream on the side in case they need to heat it a little for you. It's located in the lobby of an office building.

Social media is a fool! I thought this was a high end type of restaurant..nope! You can't watch the football games on Sunday's..the food is ok for the most part, if they missed it up they will correct the problem..tables are kind of small..there's a bar in there but don't expect a drink, it's just there for looks..the line moved pretty quickly..oh I didn't tell yall, well you have to stand in a line and order your food then go sit down..they'll bring the food out to the table..I didn't get any pictures due to all the plates in the table and no real space. I would recommend you try it out for yourself..the waitress (older lady) and the cashier were awesome not go lie!! Big ups to them fr!!
