Luma Coffee Roasters

My family and I had a great experience here. We went to Zemurray Park in Hammond to look at the Christmas lights. Afterwards everyone was chilled and wanted coffee. We made it to Luma Coffee about 20 minutes before closing time. Despite the last-minute arrival, the guys working were super nice and made us some wonderful hot drinks. We were able to sit with our drinks and warm up for a few minutes before they had to close. The space is comfortable and welcoming. They have a constantly changing menu of seasonal drinks. It is in the downtown area of Hammond so parking could be an issue on weekdays and at peak times. The staff were friendly, answered all our questions, and did not pressure us to leave despite the late hour. We will definitely be back next Christmas if not sooner!

This place is just great. Coffee is delicious, staff is friendly and the atmosphere is super nice. Great place to sit and chat with a cup of coffee, work on your computer, etc. Tables, comfy chairs, and a sofa. Very chill. Not to mention the seasonal coffee special! OMG!! Yum!!

Met some friends here who had just moved toHammond. We had just gotten back from a trip to Europe so still on a cappuccino kick. But we also wanted to try the cure. This was such a unique and yummy drink! Wish we'd gotten two of them. It had espresso, oat milk, heavy cream, honey and vanilla shaken over ice, strained, topped with freshly ground nutmeg and local bee pollen. Yummers, can't wait to be passing through Hammond again!

Great atmosphere, coffee, food all in charming downtown Hammond, America!! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend for breakfast/brunch, meetings, studying or just hanging out.

Luma is one of my favorite coffee shops. As a college student being able to get here to enjoy a good coffee and work on homework until 10pm on the weekend is awesome. I've yet to try their food but I have only heard good things about it, especially that salmon breakfast sandwich. Coffee is great as well, it is great to widen your variety if you like coffee with all the options they have and fun seasonal drinks.

Absolutely LOVE this place! They were hand roasting coffee during my visit and I got a chance to talk to the gentleman doing the roasting. Educational experience. Ordered The Cure which I was a bit hesitant about because I had never had freshly ground ginger in a coffee drink. It was SO GOOD. The ginger simply enhanced the coffee flavor. There was no strong ginger flavor. I ordered the avocado toast which was also perfect. Atmosphere was very trendy, pleasant crowd, spacious, and I could see myself easily spending a few hours there with friends or working. Can't say enough about Luma. I'm impressed!

Waited 15 min for an order; finally had to cancel the order and walk out. No sense of urgency even though ppl were obviously waiting for drinks and getting frustrated! Will not return until service improves! And while I fully understand that this is a craft coffee shop, the workers were too busy chatting and tinkering around visiting with each other and more worried about Instagram and planning for an upcoming reel video than taking care of customers and the line almost out the door.

I got the seasonal tiramisu latte and it was amazing! Their menu was very impressive and I have no doubt all of their drinks are delicious. I will most likely never be back in Hammond but if I find myself here again my first stop will be Luma!

Great coffee, great service! I would definitely recommend Luma. They help you with recommendations when you are trying new blends.

I enjoy coming here for the coffee and to relax or get some work done, the coffee and food are delicious. My biggest complaint and frustration is most of the time I come, there are children laying on the floor and running around like it's a playground. I don't understand why this is tolerated in a coffee shop.
