I took a driving trip away from NO as a retreat and was looking for something different to eat for lunch. I stumbled across Lucky Ryan's on Apple Maps while looking for where I was going to go. Upon seeing it was an authentic Vietnamese restaurant and seeing a few good reviews on Yelp, I decided to stop. The staff were welcoming & very nice. I decided to order Pho Tai. It was presented beautifully and the taste was fresh and phenomenal. This was a perfect break from all the heavy fried & Cajun food I've consumed on my trip. If you're in the area or driving through I highly recommend considering this spot.

This place is good. And serves a great dish of phoa. The other pace for Chinese food shut down. So this is the only one left in town. They also have some very good Vietnamese dishes that I really enjoy. Today got the Beef Stew w/ Rice Noodle. Really good flavor. The portion is huge. Can't wait to try some of the other things.

I think I'm going to have to stop here every time I got down the road to Venice. I had grilled pork vermicelli with shrimp added (only a friggin dollar, you can't beat that!) and our waiter was so nice! And they also have a nice selection of canned beverages like you get at the Vietnamese store. I had a lychee drink. And the spring rolls are off the chain. This is where you want to stop after a long day in the sun!

In a town with just a handful of restaurants, discovering this gem was quite a treat. The exterior of the building is one of the more decorated and welcoming in town. Most buildings in Buras are steel buildings with metal siding, and very little storefront glass or signage - Lucky Ryan had both. Inside, this place is CLEAN - like eat-off-the-floor clean. A TV was available and the service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the number 29, fully loaded, Pho, aka beef noodle soup. It came with the traditional side of fixin's - bean sprouts, sliced jalepenos, a wedge of lime, and the ever important fresh basil. The dish was great as served, but I doctored it up with all the accoutrements - and added a dash of Sriracha from the bottle on the table. It was a great, and very filling meal!

When we came to Venice to fish, I had no idea that we'd also find one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've ever been to. They have a menu that is just diverse enough - not an intimidating "phone book" that makes it hard to make a decision, but a good variety of dish styles and protein offerings. And the Pho broth, oh the Pho! As good as any I had during my two trips to Ho Chi Minh city, and the freshest, most beautiful and aromatic basil I've seen. The restaurant is super clean, and run by the most friendly family. They treated us like part of their family, and I saw that was true of many of the regulars who both dined in and carried out. In a part of the country with limited options for dining out, you must visit this gem!

Great restaurant! The food is delicious, the servers are fast, attentive and very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. They have a large selection of dishes and a variety of bubble teas. It seems to be very popular and with good reason. The pho is a favorite but I also loved the green pepper steak. Their fried rice is the best!

In a sea of trampolines, one restaurant bounces above. If you and your buddies are tired of fried seafood (or each other) this food is delicious. We tasted fish balls, pho, vermicelli--the usual. All was very good. Highly recommended.
