Lucky dog satisfies my taste buds and reminds me of my youth. What I didn't realize then is that lucky dog is much more than hangover food, it's actually a very good hotdog! We are lucky to have them in the city.

The vendor was very friendly. The food was very flavorful. I ate a smoked sausage hotdog and it was full of flavor. Would definitely recommend it.

On our last night in town, we did something of a tour de late night munchies in the Quarter. As a Chicago gal, I'm quite fond of hot dogs so these carts caught our eye. They're even more minimal than I expected - serving only chili or no chili dogs with mustard and onions. I think he did have some ketchup too. Really not my thing, but I didn't wanna go plain so I just went all in. It was probably the worst walking food ever (such a mess), can't complain about the taste though. Pretty decent dog, chili was meh. Service was a little sketchy, but I feel like that's part of the experience lol. Not a must eat, but decent drunk snacks if you need it.

My husband and I just wanted a quick bite while we were walking over to bourbon street so decided to stop for a lucky dog. We paid 6.50 for the jumbo dog and I must say it was very tasty. Total for lunch came out to 15.00 which included two hot dogs and a coke. The gentleman that served us was so polite and offered us all the fixings for our dogs. The ambiance was great we were about o catch a few jazz singers in the square while we ate our dogs. If you're looking for just a quick bite stop over and grab yourself a lucky dog!

A lucky dog on the street 10/10 recommend. In casino absolutely not! They give lucky dog a bad reputation! Which i hate for the tourist. Bun was stale! Line was long! with one poor worker.

Hygiene is much better now. My husband LOVES Lucky Dogs. Order the larger dog. Years ago they used to have a lot more toppings and I miss them. The chili is very good and goes well with onions.Carts are all over the quarter EXCEPT on Mondays and Tuesdays.

I spotted it from a distance and kept watching people enjoying this street food.. finally after lots of alcohol we stopped by for a lucky dog before our walk back to the hotel .. hotdog, chili, mustard, ketchup, onion on a soft bun.. $6Fast & friendly service .. check this street food cart out .. you won't be disappointed

Rex "Santa " saved us twice with the chilli dogs. The first night he didn't put as much chilli as I wanted but the second night I told him how I liked it and he delivered with a smile and a twinkle in his eye. I had already called him Santa then Larry reminded me hey don't call him Santa ( I had been drinking) it could slip out. When I asked him his name he said it's Rex but they call me Santa! WTF!!! I knew it! Only he could fix delicious coney dogs on the corner on Bourbon Street . He had moved locations. Ok the hot dog was the 1/4 hot dog with chilli, onions and mustard... look it was dang delicious and it reminded me of home ( Detroit). It's a hot dog cart and I been drinking and I visited 2 days in a row! Yes, he used plastic gloves to prepare the precious dogs! I will visit again especially when I need to soak up those hand grenades!

"Lucky Dog" saved us twice. It's a perfect and inexpensive way to soak up all of the liquor that was consumed. Our first night on Bourbon St we hit hard and fast and came across this stand that had wonderful beef hot dogs with chili, onions and mustard... what we call in Detroit a "coney dog". It wasn't a little punk hot dog either it was a light weight meal. On Sunday after waling tours and more drinking we wanted another one and with great luck we found the same vendor as we did the first night. Now there were many vendors but we preferred "Santa" because he was cool, informative and the dogs were tasty.

Fake cheese, but doesn't state that. Just know what you are going to order before. Menu is very generic. Just a basic hot dog, difference is size and what is on it. Menu doesn't tell you that.
