Loretta Authentic Pralines

Never had beignets this good!!! Superior to Cafe DuMonde! Absolutely perfect puffs of dough that are light, fluffy and fried just right! Oh so good! I ate them before I could take a picture!

Very unassuming place in the French Market. Upon walking up, the case looked pretty much empty, so we initially thought the place was closed.Along with ordering the regular plain beignets, we tried to order the peanut butter and jelly beignets and the crawfish beignets. Unfortunately, they were out of those. Even though we went first thing in the morning, it was a little disappointing to only have access to a limited menu.The plain beignets were good. Smaller in size compared to other beignets in the area. But still, very pillowy soft and delicious! And they came out hot and fresh. Would definitely return for these.

I love, love, love beignets but never have I ever had a savory beignet and this place has both savory and sweet.On this day, I opted for the crab stuffed beignet. Sweet crab with the flaky crust of the beignet was already hitting the taste buds just right but add the accompanied sauce and it elevated my afternoon treat.This location at the French Market only had a few options for each type but apparently the other location has even more. Next trip down, I'll be checking that one out and will not make the mistake of eating before I go because I want, no I need, to try one of each.

I've been coming here for over a decade. Loretta's praline beignets are the best in New Orleans, by far. Cafe Du Monde has fallen off, over the years. They also make the best sweet potato pies, and the pralines? Mon dieu! C'est magnifique!

Loved everything we tasted. The beignets were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They're freshly baked so you have to wait 10-15 min but totally worth it.

We went to try their famous praline stuffed beignets at their French Market location. The line was only about 5 people deep and moved quickly. They were served to order and delicious. I didn't know what to expect but to be honest I think deep frying the praline took a little bit of the flavor away. The beignets themselves were my favorite part. When I return I will order the original plain beignets. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. I want to try all their other offerings.

These beignets taste way better then cafe du monde's in my option. It's a like a puff sheet, and it's delicious.

3.5/5We ordered a crab beignet, which was ~$8 for one, and the praline beignet, which was ~$7 and came in three. The praline beignet was too sweet for us. We ate around the filling, which was yummy then. The crab beignet was just super small and pricey. It was good, but I wish it was bigger or came at a cheaper price point!

They're crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and totally addictive.Loretta's Pralines is hands down better than Café du Monde. Anytime I am in town. I always make a point to include Loretta on my schedule. Her beignets are better than any other beignets around. They come out hot and fresh every time. The service is always amazing and welcoming, which I love and I highly recommend anything on their menu as they do not miss.
