Miss Sheren is always so nice to us. We've been eating here for many years. Now we live in houston and we never miss coming here for lunch every time we come to Bogalusa.The food is awesome and home-made style like we don't get at any other restaurant. This is not fast food! This is where you come when your moma doesn't feel like cooking and you want a good home meal.Thanks miss Sheren for your many years of service to Bogalusa and loyalty.

I recently dined at Long Branch Cafe in Bogalusa, LA, and found the experience to be a mixed bag. The food was pretty average but came with a hefty price tag that seemed unjustified.The ambience is one of the highlights - it's definitely friendly and welcoming. However, the restaurant itself is quite small, with tables arranged too closely together, which can make for a somewhat cramped dining experience.Service-wise, the waitress provided us with decent customer service, but she seemed distracted by all the locals she personally knew, leading to a lack of attentiveness while serving us. This detracted from what could have been a more pleasant dining experience.I ordered the hamburger steak that came with a salad. The salad was made up of shredded lettuce and tomato served in a saucer, and the dressing was already added. The salad was pitiful to say the least--no cheese, eggs, onions, carrots, or cucumbers of any kind. Really disappointing. My mother's entree was a 5-piece fish with fries and a side of coleslaw, which seemed to be missing something. A significant issue was the discrepancy in menu prices. We were handed menus upon arrival, but when it came time to pay, the prices were higher than what was listed. This was quite deceiving, and only after inquiring about it were we informed that the prices had changed.Overall, Long Branch Cafe has its merits, but considering the overall value, I'm hesitant to give it a higher rating. It's a decent spot, but there are certainly areas that need improvement, particularly in terms of service attentiveness and price transparency.

Not what it used to be. Sorry used to love this place.the staff is still awesome as always.but the food has declined.

This place is so unique. It's a small place but with delicious home cooked food. 10 tables or booths to seat 4 and a larger table that sits 8+. But the tables can be joined together to accommodate larger groups. There is a daily special that includes drink and dessert for around $9.00. It's definately a locals spot cause they always know where the good food is... The menu is very large with unbelievable cheap prices.. Enjoy
