Lighthouse Restaurant

This place was very decent. With few choices on the island, we checked it out. The waiter was really nice and helpful. The steak was ordinary and the appetizers weren't anything special. Someone in our party got the crawfish pasta which was actually really tasty. The fries were blah. Overall not a bad meal but nothing to rave about.

We visited Grand Isle last week and ate supper here one night. The broiled flounder was excellent. Our server, Tony, was great and very helpful. Thanks for a great evening.

Hungry for oysters with few options we decided to go to Lighthouse after the bartender at Artie's told us that they had chargrilled oysters. It turns out that not all restaurants outside of New Orleans no anything about chargrilled oysters. This was one of those places. They came out burned to a crisp with a heavy layer of cheese and when I saw a cup of butter on the side I knew then that they didn't know what they were doing and to add insult to injury we had 2 orders to bring back to the chef. Fortunately they took them off the bill and they brought out a tasty shrimp cocktail. The service was excellent especially Ms. Darlene who we felt sorry for having to deal with four grumpy men. If you go here unless they have a new cook stay clear of the oysters.

I've had seafood platters in many places. This is the best. Not only is the coating crispy and the seafood cooked just right, it's fresh. And varied: stuffed crab, soft-shelled crab, frogs' legs, oysters, shrimp, and more. Don't be put off by the unprepossessing exterior, or the less than prepossessing interior. Go for the food. You won't be disappointed.Did I forget to mention the excellent service?

Dinner was a treat to have two soft shell crabs, baked potato, and salad. Was good, tho I couldn't tell if the crabs were fresh or frozen. To top of our meal we received a complimentary piece of chocolate cake for a birthday. Waitress was attentive. Most "formal" restaurant on the Isle.

Ok place is falling apart literally. Our waiter was Great! Steamed vegetables and and mashed potatoes were good. The seafood platter was greasy no taste and for the price paid was to say the least never go back. We waited for half an hour 45 minutes and there was like 8 people in the whole place. Also NO Sweet tea in LA, are you kidding me?Just wish it wasn't recommended to us.

OMG - the very worst grilled oysters ever - burned to a crisp - 2 dozen! Not a mistake. they served us 12 "killed" oysters and then later the second burned batch. Awful. The only exception was our server Darlene - delightful, friendly, extremely apologetic, a great server in a terrible restaurant.

Check my google review. Outstanding. Good food, good service, good times. Get the blackened seafood platter. Trust me.

I had the displeasure of being seated with the tall flamboyant waiter. By far the worst service i've ever received from any business, bad enough for me to make a yelp account, which i'll likely never use again, just to leave this review. This is the first time ever I've left no tip for my waiter. Get great service, great food, better prices at the Starfish restaurant.

I eat here often very good! Crab cake pasta is awesome! Coconut shrimp is very good as well!!
