The food was horrible tonight, I ordered 2 small burrito meals and 2 small salsa and was charged 56.00. I'm so disappointed in the taste of the food. And not to mention I feel like I over paid big time for what I ordered. The last time I ordered I had 3 meals and 3 salsas and paid way cheaper.

So I went to dinner with my best friend lastnight, at a regular spot that I've dined at for over a decade, and I can honestly say it was the worst experience ever. Walked into some highschool band singing way too loudly on one end of the restaurant, so I went and sat at the bar. Friend met me five minutes later. Ordered appetizer, chips and salsa came free. They were so understaffed it is ridiculous. Four waiters in a restaurant with over 100+ patrons.Ordered food, the recipes have definitely changed, couldn't even make the simplest substitution to my order. When our food was finally delivered you could tell it had sat under the lamps so long the retried beans were cracked on top. Rice was dry and flaky, crunchy taco had already gotten soggy. Ownership change is the problem here. Do not recommend. I won't be back nor will my family and friends, who usually dine here 3+ times a week due to there not being many dining establishments in town.

Pretty bad Mexican restaurant. I got a chicken quesadilla and it was soaked in grease. Plus it was the smallest quesadilla I've ever gotten because. And I don't know if it's a normal thing around here but the salsa was temperature wise hott and tasted like marinara sauce. It wasn't my cup of tea. I guess when you don't have much to choose from it's not horrible. But it's one of the worse places I've been

Methinks not indeed. In a pinch, we decided not to fo to Raceland for El Paso. Next time, we will definitely spend the extra 15 minutes to get there. La Casa has never been impressive at all, but we decided to give it another shot. While our server was friendly and informative, the food was subpar at best. I wouldn't even call it Tex-Mex. ...I ordered #8 on the menu, it included typical Mexican staples such as an enchilada, tamale, and a taco. I've made better at home. I ordered beef for all three- I'm pretty sure they just browned some ground meat and threw a packet of taco seasoning on it, and called it Mexican food.My fiance ordered a medium ribeye. What came out was a well done round steak. He couldn't eat it. His 'steamed' veggies were burnt and overcooked. Dad ordered the mahi mahi tacos- the fish was NOT fresh; instead of grilled, it was deep fried with yellow cheese to top it off. No pico de gallo or fresh salsa, and the tortillas were greasy. His "Mexican Rice" had English peas in it. He was so disappointed that he couldn't even smile at the waitress when she asked if he liked it.We had also ordered queso dip, MISTAKE. The contrast between their house made salsa and the cheese dip was significant. The salsa was warm and fresh, and just the right amount of spicy. The queso, on the other hand, was yellow and tasted like it had come straight from those giant cans of nacho cheese you can buy at Sam's Club. The sweet tea was good and the beer was cold, so I guess if you drank enough and were starving this place would be delicious. Or you could fill up on chips and salsa, while listening to the latest and greatest of Chinese buffet style music.

We stopped here on the way back from Grand Isle. Three food was good and the place was clean, if a little worn. Our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. I had the buffet and everything was fresh and hot. Both of my friends had the chicken fajitas and said they were pretty good. The warm salsa is really good.

The worst. Taco Bell is a better choice. Service was good and friendly. Food was horrible. Overcooked rice and told they ran out when barely any customers and 3 hours until closing on a Saturday night. Paid $24 for the tiniest overcooked steak.Salsa tastes like a can of tomato sauce. Complimentary tortilla chips were bland and tasted like they were gluten free. Burnt chicken in tacos. Will never be coming back. Menu is too large which tells me freshness is sacrificed. Bill was $160 for 4 people and 2 alcohol drinks. Too expensive.

Ya we walked in and the building was empty. There were no customer just workers. We waited 10 minutes to be seated in a empty restaurant. I lost count of how many employees walked right by us and never said a thing to us. It's a shame because I heard the place had good food ,but I can care less about food if the service is horrible.

I'll be honest here, the food isn't all that well. The ground beef just tastes salty and the texture is a little odd. The beans/bean dip as well have little to no flavor. The only reason of why there's two stars is because of the waitress, she was nice and did her job pretty well of tending us.
