Jumonville's Bakery

The "driest" cupcakes I've ever had in my life!!! It seem like my cupcakes have been sitting in the display case for a week. This is my second encounter with them and both times have been horrible. So, I gave them a fair chance and by coming back. I've had some bad cupcakes but this has taken the cake

While I have lived here all my life, this was only my third visit here. I always favored Cal's Bakery, but now since they are no longer, I thought I'd try and find my next go to local bakery. Well this isn't it. It might be mission impossible to find brownies to measure up to Cal's, but I am determined. I also tried the white chocolate macadamia cookie and M&M cookie as well as the apple fritter. The cookies weren't even edible because they were so hard I was afraid I'd end up in my dentist's chair having a root canal. Obviously cookies are not their forte. In fact the only positive out of the order was the apple fritter. It was cooked just right, though only a small amount of apple and it was nice and soft on the inside and not greasy at all. I would definitely order this again, but can't say I'd make a special trip for it. I'll have to find out their specialty items and report back at a later date. I'm sure there's something I'm missing.

I ordered a cake for a coworker's retirement. It was absolutely delicious! They were very patient with my order and the cake came out beautiful. Lots of compliments from coworkers on the taste and the decorations on the cake. Joy

GONZALES LOCATION: RUDE SERVICE...they acted like-you are bugging us, go away! No smile or how are you-nothing , just dry rude attitude.Now, about their pastries, not very good at all. Not going back.

Just to let everyone know...... DO NOT order from food menu, seafood sucks.I ordered seafood boat, the WORST shrimp and fish I ever got..... especially in Louisiana.They should be ashamed to serve food that BAD!The fish was flat, and rubbery, Shrimp was so small, rubbery as well, they split them in half, I guess to try to make them seem larger, what a joke, my cat wouldn't even eat this food. Roast beef was ok but.... only 2 thin slices of beef on sandwich. Another waste of money. seems like all I got from the whole order was BREAD!! not to mention very pricey, spent $43.00. I got pastries as well, brownie was old and hard!!!! Not sure how they can serve people garbage,, take it from me...DON"T get anything from this bakery.
