I ordered delivery through Uber. Very smooth on all. Food was hot and delicious. I was looking for YakiMein and picked them because of that. A god decision! I also had whte beans because it was a good item to try for price. Not a single complaint- all 5 stars.

I ordered the beef yakamein . The broth was very tasty. Glad I stopped by.Very friendly, prompt service. Small little corner shop.Take out only.

The Yakamein is delicious! My father and I came by to try Yakamein for the first time. The service was great too. It looks like a normal corner store from the outside but it's a hidden gem.

John and Mary's is only a few blocks from the VRBO we're staying at in New Orleans. I noticed it before the trip when I looked at nearby restaurants. I had stopped by once after eating at Parkway to grab a few things, but as good as I hear the bahn mi and other dishes are, I was satiated by having just polished off a Parkway fried oyster poor boy. When I stopped by again yesterday, I noticed their menu includes gumbo, so I ordered a cup as an afterthought. We already had dinner plans, but I went and decided to steal a bite. Oh my, oh my. I'm tempted to say it's the best gumbo I've had this trip, but that doesn't do it justice. I'll just say it's the best gumbo I can recall ever having. For a time, there was a Cajun restaurant that popped up in an old Long John Silver's in Midwest City, Okla. Word was the family had a restaurant near the Superdome until Katrina. Their gumbo and etouffee - and, well, everything - was awesome. The place was always busy, but closed after a few years. My hope is the family was able to return to New Orleans. That was some great gumbo, but this was just as good. So give John and Mary's gumbo a shot. It's chocked full of flavor. My son sampled it, then promptly stole it away to polish off before I could get a picture. The roux was a milk chocolate brown, with ham, andouille and more. It's good, ya'll.

This is the best yaka mein I've ever had in New Orleans. Everything is so perfect and the people running the store are so sweet. The beef yaka mein is my go to. Please, if you want yaka mein in the greater New Orleans, come to John & Mary's. You will not be disappointed one bit and full at the end. I could go into more detail but just know it's all perfect. The pricing, portion, flavor, and customer service. All 5 stars.

Yat Ka Mein was amazing. Freshly made to order. I cannot imagine finding any better! Sweet couple running the store and cooking were polite and friendly.

Limited menu when I went (like 2 hours after lunchtime) but what I got (chicken with a side of fried rice and green beans) was so good. They have good combo deals and service was quick so would def recommend for lunch if ur in-need of somewhere quick and tasty.

Best Yaka mein in New Orleans. Portion and price value is amazing. The broth is rich in flavor and taste. Service was fast and friendly. The beef in the dish was a cool 4/5, everything else was 5/5!
