I was caught off guard by the location of this Ike's ! The first Ike's in New Orleans. I thought I was walking into an old bar to pick up my order, but instead, Ike's decor was filling the space where the liquor bottles would typically be. It's a pretty unique spot though and could definitely become something special once they're fully settled in.When I arrived, there were only three other people eating, so it was very quiet overall compared to the street leading up to Ike's !I was greeted right away by the super friendly staff. They let me know they were out of the vegan meat I had ordered for my take out, but offered to substitute vegan chicken, which I happily accepted. Best decision ever--it was amazing with the flavors of the tangy sauce! I got the Local Vegan New Orleans sandwich and recall the name but it's a must and it did not disappoint. And thanks for the vegan blue lollipop with my sub

Went in last night at the very last minute, but I didn't know until I asked what time they closed for. When I found out I was about to leave, but dameshia told me stay and it was no problem, they would love to serve me. So we stayed! They did give recommendations on what she likes and told me some history on the place and its owners! The place is ducked off which is cool, cause I stumbled on it the place reminds me of an older house because of is all of the wood... but very New Orleans..My sandwich as good and was cooked to the right temperature. Overall I could see my going back, when I have a lot of time to spend and try different sandwiches.

Despite living 5 min away, somehow I had never heard of or been to Ike's. I'm so glad this changed!! These are some of the best sandwiches I've ever had in New Orleans. The Dutch bread makes it so special and the ingredients and flavors are delicious! Can't wait to go back and try more.

One of the best sandwiches I've had in a long long time. This is fairly new establishment, only been open for about two months. Cat, the manager is the nicest person ever and was well versed about the menu and the history of the restaurant. The menu is fairly large for a sandwich spot and has something for everyone, from the meat lovers to the vegans, every one will feel included. The sandwich itself it's pretty large, one half had me full for sure. Can't wait to go back and try something different!!

So excited Ike's has come to New Orleans. Numerous yummy sandwich to chose from including many veggie and vegan options. They just opened this past weekend with a soft opening. We got a few Sammie's ta geaux and man they were good. They are $15 per sandwich but when using quality ingredients thangz ain't cheap. Can't wait to try more of their options.

Large selection of sandwiches. Quality, quantity and price are all good. Onion Rigs were so good and fried perfectly! I would take some of the Dixie Crunch bread home with me if I could it was so good. Server was friendly and service was pretty quick. I would eat here again!!

Met the owner Ike as we walked by to check out the new local sandwich and donut shop. Friendly staff very knowledgeable about the menu and all the ingredients. We shared the "Only in LA" menu item #308 Hollywood Boubon Steak sandwich with red onions and pickles on gluten free bread. The sandwich was serviced hot and fresh. We also indulged in the rice crispy treat with pistachio icing (the freshest rice crispy treat I have ever had!)...crunchy and over the top with the icing. I was in New Orleans and actually live Austin where they have 6 other locations! Casual vibe with waitstaff and great Mushroom coffee!

Just left Ike's, i'm telling ya...this place is gonna be something special. I walk in for lunch and immediately am greeted by everyone working and what do ya know? Ike himself is behind the counter chatting it up. As a man who loves sandwiches with his whole heart, it was wonderful talking to another person who has been giving the communities he's a part of such a delicious spot to enjoy something he loves serving. We talked for nearly a half hour and it felt like this place was a neighborhood staple for years by the time I left. I got the Matt Cain, Hunter Pence, and The Hottest Sausage. That dutch crunch bread is insane, what a great vehicle for delivering sandwich deliciousness. DO NOT SLEEP ON THEIR TO ORDER DONUTS, Had the cinnamon churro while i waited and it came out so hot and fresh that I swear i'd burn my face off to get it to my mouth faster if I could. THANKS IKE! I'll be back VERY SOON
