Ichiban

I was visiting family here a few weeks ago, so I wanted to go to a place I have visited multiple times: Ichiban. My brother tagged along, and upon arriving, it was not very busy for what was a Tuesday night. Our waitress was kind but rushed us just a little bit.I ordered a Hawaiian roll and vegetable fried rice. The Hawaiian role was great, but I wish the pieces were smaller (and maybe they could provide 12 smaller pieces instead of 10 big ones). It's still my favorite roll on the menu regardless, and I order it basically every time I go.The vegetable fried rice, on the other hand, is the best I've ever had! That's literally no exaggeration. Living in Dallas, the only fried rice that comes close is from Hibiki (which is amazing) and even then their fried rice is not quite as good as Ichiban. Who knew small-town fried rice would be hittin?To end off the meal, we had mochi ice cream (which my brother wanted). Although I don't eat that often, I did enjoy it as an infrequent dessert. To go off topic, the food is actually pretty cheap. If I remember correctly, my fried rice was less than $12 which is amazing because the portion size is a meal and was leftovers for me in my case!Overall, this is a place I will definitely return to when I go back to Louisiana! Ichiban has been a favorite of mine (and my mom's) growing up, and I'm so glad to see that their food still has the same delicious taste from 2010 when I lived there. If you are ever in the area, please check it out!

Food poisoning from the sushi. Spent half a day writhing in stomach pain. Finally my system flushed out the bad fish. Too bad for this place. The wait staff is great, the building decor is great, and the non-sushi part of the dinner was delicious. Don't order the sushi.

We got 5 Togo hibachi dinners $170.00 most of the time our food is delicious but the last 3 times the food has been missing flavor and not tasting good at all

Terrible. We ordered steak, shrimp, and lobster and the chef cooked it all with the same sweet sauce. The chef was sloppy and throwing food around everywhere even on my shirt! We ordered wine and they tried convincing us that the bottle they brought was the same as what we ordered just with a different name.. He was disgusting with how he cooked and the food was trash. You're better off eating fast food. Steak quality terrible. The lobster tasted old or it wasn't cooked well.

Had the hibachi. The chef was very entertaining and interacted very well with e everyone including the baby. The food was a little disappointing. No green onion in the egg fried rice and too little garlic. The most disappointing was they use the same sauce on everything so everything ends up tasting the same. The chicken, steak, shrimp, rice and noodles. All taste the same and no garnish.

It was a pretty busy night! The wait staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the food! My friends were doing Keto at the time and every question we had was answered without hesitation! Highly recommend.

By far the best hibachi experience ever. The service was amazing. The hostess gave use rice because my daughter woke up cranky from her nap, I never seen a hibachi place give SOOO MUCH FOOD! They give noodles & rice with the dinner meals. The way the hibachi was seasoned was better than I've had.

Do not recommend, went to eat with my son (he wanted hibachi) I wanted sushi. The lady (owner) was so rude and said y'all must order two meals. I said yeah? So y'all both will be eating. Yes and I want sushi. Well I can't sit y'all on hibachi side. Like excuse me. I was ordering both but just for her assuming and bring money hungry we toook our business else where!

Ended up here Christmas Eve since not much else was open. We were skeptical at first from some of the previous reviews but ended up loving it! We have been to many hibachi places before. The clear soup here was one of our favorites. It was nice that you get both noodles and fried rice with the hibachi so that you got to try more items. Staff was friendly and the cook was entertaining. Best part of the whole meal is that they serve yum yum sauce! I'm sure we will be back the next time we are in town.

If I could give more stars I would. The place is beautifully decorated, very clean and very organized. Everyone was so kind and welcoming the entire time. The food was incredible. Tabitha gave amazing service, always checking on me even when she was flying past. 15/10 experience, will definitely be coming back when I can.
